No more Sparrow!

For the first time in f...................a long time, I feel confident that something major is happening. There's LOTS of closures happening at DHS but I think FINALLY for good reason. Whatever is happening, it looks like its going to be BIG! (and not Frozen related either!!!!)

I'm going in May and am worried we will be met with construction walls all over the parks and downtown Disney. However a kick up the backside is long overdue for DHS and Hopefully they will be announcing something big soon

]I'd hoped DHS would update one at a time. I guess not.

We're arriving around 9am and plan on breakfast before heading over. And a midday break for nap time. But still... Not sure there's enough there to keep us entertained.

Not big on toy story, or Disney Jr.
Tough to be a bug sounds creepy.

Backlot and Sparrow closed.
I guess we will check out some starboard stuff even though I'm not really into it.
Meh

Also DD is a huge pirates fan and was REALLY looking forward to this. :( If only it was open another week and a half!

Any ideas what it'll become?

Sparrow was basically just a 5 minute special effects show...really should have been more in-depth

The Jack Sparrow thing at DHS was a complete and utter waste of time. It's really not a loss.

Narnia was even worse, I think the problem is that it's an awkward part of the property. Not much they could really put in there given the space without a complete construction overhaul...

Watch the replacement be a Frozen equivalent...

I feel your pain. My 2 DDs and I will be there the end of January and I am not even sure if we should even bother going to this park or not. The only things we would be interested in is RnRC, ToT, and our dinner ADR at 50's PT. I keep asking myself if it is worth the ticket to go (we don't have hoppers) or should we just go to Epcot twice since we are already going to MK twice.

As for the POTC show, we did it the year that it opened and thought it was pretty cool, however DH and I both said this would be a one and done sort of thing, plus it was never really busy (at least that I saw) so I could see them wanting to get rid of it. I just hope that the expansion to that area doesn't include the closure of One Man's Dream....I would be really bummed by that.

there are more than a few of capt jack's 'crew' who will miss this attraction.:(

Sparrow was awful. I left out of it. It was so diappointing.

I agree. The sparrow thing in studios was awful. I am glad they closed it. It does seem that any thing that goes in that building isn't that great. Such as the Narnia. Even though I didn't go in it I wasn't all that interested in it.

Sparrow was a lot, I mean A WHOLE LOT better than Narnia... but that still isn't saying much. I enjoyed it as did our clan

big pirates fan and disappointed this closed because we're headed to Disney in about 20 days. Figures.

looking forward to POTC 5 in a couple years

I am not sure if I misunderstood your post, but Tough to be a Bug is at AK not DHS?
