Well... spent hours planning my trip from May 13-18, then found out about their new non smoking policies, I get it Disney can do whatever they wish in their parks and I can do the same with my cash(10K). called them up cancelled my grand Floridian reservation along all my restaurant bookings. They tried to give me a hard time about their non refundable park ticket and Disney after hours ticket policies (had those too) and that didn't go very far once I told them they would deal with my lawyers.

Yes its the smoking, but not only that.... whats next ? no straws, no sodas, no plastic water bottles, no tank tops... lol you see where all this is going... Adios Disney adios !

You might not want to search the straws then...or plastic bags....

Weird to threaten lawyers over park tickets and hard tickets..request a supervisor? sure I can understand that but lawyers...perhaps you do that all the time though.

Yup I did request a supervisor... the referred them as "partners" and for what it's worth they were pushing on the non refundable ticket policies for 20 minutes on the phone so YES once a brought up lawyers their policies went out the damn window. I wasn't threatening I would have called my lawyers first thing Monday morning.

And what would your lawyers have said/done? Nothing in your ticket purchased included the ability to smoke within the park.

Yeah I believe you. I think you knew what I meant when I said threatening though.

Just weird to throw that card out there but I'm guessing someone who will do this for theme park tickets that in no way are connected to where the DSA is located at must throw the lawyer card out there all the time. But yeah your lawyer must be making bank off of you if they get called for theme park ticket refund refusal :D

You are being very condescending and it is uncalled for. The fact remains smoking is legal remember that!

I know it is legal and had no problem with the DSAs. It is also legal for Disney to have the only smoking areas outside of the parks.

And I was rolling my eyes at your quote about how much you would pay your lawyer. Seems like you only wanted to toss out how much money you could spend on a lawyer over a case they would lose anyway.

Respectfully I'm not being condescending.

It has nothing to do with smoking being legal. Disney is private property and if they wanted to make it smoke free they can.

Presently you can smoke in DSAs. Those locations are up to Disney to move or remove or reduce as they see fit. They just moved a location of one in California Adventure this week I believe. Your park ticket doesn't guarantee you the ability to smoke inside the parks.

You further pound home your lawyer talk by saying you'll pay $100,000 to get your refund on an $800 ticket...okie dokie then.

It's not that I don't think you can request to speak to a supervisor if you want to, no issue to me. But to go so far as to say "I'm calling my lawyer on Monday" yeah I stand by my comment though you probably do this elsewhere too. You brought up the lawyer talk, I just commented on it.

Not sure its a slam dunk... parks are outside, not for Disney nor me to decide if one can be restricted from smoking exterior only a Judge can decide that.

It is for Disney to decide. It is their private property. They can make all sorts of rules that you have to follow to be allowed to be on property they own. Just like any property owner.

Inside a property totally agree... respectfully disagree when it comes to airspace.

So under this belief, say that a property owner has timber or farmland. Anybody can come on that land and hunt, right? Because it isn't inside a property?

Anybody can go into another person's front yard and blare their music and have a party because not inside a property?

That is not how it works. Not at all.

All that is illegal, called trespassing you might even get shot...careful smoking is LEGAL.
