No more prime rib at Boma/WDW buffets!?

DH is a real seafood lover, DS and I can take it or leave it. That's why I selected Cape May. We carnivore's can be happy at a seafood place! We leave tomorrow, so too late to change ADR's. And... Cape May is our last TS in WDW!
I hate other people making healthy choices FOR me!

That is unfortunate but they'll keep cutting until people stop coming to the restaurants. With the 'free dining' that is probably not going to happen anytime soon.

best friend was just at 1900 park fare last night and ate prime rib...she called us to rub it in that they were eating with cindy! lol

I am so frickin' sick of WDW "dumbing down" their menus while their prices go up, up, up!!! GRRRRRR

Again, prime rib is still available in some restaurants, including Boatwright's, Captain's Grill, Olivia's, Shutter, Turf Club and Cinderella's Royal Table.

We may be the oddballs but we go to Boma because we love everything there, especially the soups. Neither DH or I are upset about the change in beef. We are just happy to be going to Boma.

Wow Scott...Nice to see you here! Welcome! I was waiting for Lenny to say something about that. I haven't seen him in a while and haven't had the chance to ask.

For us (and really the kids), the prime rib is the feature item on the menu. If not available this will greatly dampen our enjoyment of the restaurant for an upcoing trip.

We won't change our ressies, but it is a dissapointment and we will complain as we made the ressies 6 months ago presuming this....

I looove the prime rib at Chef Mickeys...:headache: mmm...with the parmesan mashed potatoes, I guess nothing lasts forever.

NNNOOOOOOOOO

SAY ITS A LIE....A DAM LIE!!!!!

I leave for Disney tomorrow and I have 4 Prime Rib meals planned. Each one was cooked with different spices!!!

I love Prime Rib. Please please tell me it is still there!!

Roasted Strip Loin as a replacement....you might as well replaced it with Captain Hook's Boots! pirate:

There are so many other Healthy choices one can make at a buffet please for the love of the mouse leave the Prime Rib alone.

First you take the crab legs from Coral Reef, then the concourse steakhouse, and now this. Whats next, no more character dining.
a little heavy on the caffiene today huh.:)

:rotfl: As if anyone else's perspective doesn't matter, in the light of the Scupper, eh? :worship:

1) Not for the folks on the site.
2) I am speaking of the reasons given by WDW.
3) As with most of their excuses, there are a lot of holes in the reasoning.
4) I apologize for any confusion.

We won't change our ressies
It is important to note that the only way Disney will determine that it shouldn't make such changes is if enough patrons actually stop visiting the restaurants, or get up and leave without ordering, from restaurants where the menus have been changed in a manner the patron is unhappy with.

but it is a dissapointment and we will complain as we made the ressies 6 months ago presuming this....
It is never a good idea to presume anything posted will be true forever, or for any specific period of time, unless the posting, itself, comes from Disney, and has a specific period of applicability indicated on the posting.

3) As with most of their excuses, there are a lot of holes in the reasoning.
There is a difference between public relations and "excuses". They haven't done anything that requires an excuse.

I think I'd enjoy a strip loin better than the prime rib. I'm a no fatty beef kind of person. And the rarer the better so a rare strip loin might be just as delicious as a rare slab of prime rib. The seasoning has a lot to do with it. The one at cape may is absolutely the best one I've had on property.
