We are going to beach club from sept 10-17. Was thinking of making a change at one point & every resort was booked! What happened to low crowds?'is that not true of September anymore?
I seriously doubt that "every resort is booked"…for example I just checked the Wilderness lodge for your days 10-17…. a beautiful comparable location to Beach club and with only ten days left for the dining plan booking they still have plenty off availability for courtyard view and other rooms as well. My guess is so do all the other resorts. You are exaggerating a little. We are going to beach club from sept 10-17. Was thinking of making a change at one point & every resort was booked! Not sure which crowd calendars you are quoting but "touring plan" and "easywdw" show the week before as a 1 to 5 and the week after as to 2 to 5.. no 10 in sight in September..sorry its September the slowest season of the year overall. That's during Free Dining offer period to lure folks to stay on site. That does not translate to high crowds because on site guests are such a small % of overall guests in the parks.
Crowd calendars have during that week 3/10 and the weekend before and after at 4/10.
A HA there ya go..that makes sense then! Whew had me scared thought there were 10 crowds in September now!!!!! eeekkksThere may be plenty of rooms available, but not at the discount rate you have. The room I wanted wasn't available under the Florida resident rate, but it was with the Passholder rate. It was the same price, so it didn't matter to me. I'm just happy to be staying at Disney for a few days--yes, we live an hour away, but there is something about actually staying there that is still magical.
Tim, I think the poster means its 3 out of a possible 10 and 4 out of 10.

that resort is undergoing a major refurb and the main pool is closed from September 3 to November 28. Guests may be avoiding it for that reason.
I know the crowd calendar says it won't be bad. When I called disney about changing resorts the 3 I asked for were not available at any rate, even full price. The cm said attendance is definitely up & sept is busy. That being said, it's still not as bad as holidays. Not exaggerating just sharing what I was told.
