No more Fanily Boat Plan

We were staying at Grand Floridian last week on our points and were looking forward to using the Family Boat plan for the week. No longer available!

We were told that Disney was not making any money on the plan so it was scrapped!

Trip was still great as usual except for Italy, Alfredo di Roma Ristorante.

Were there last year, great menu and entertainment. This year, limited ,menu, bland food, lousy subdued entertainment.

But still a great trip!

Thank you for the update. It's disappointing to hear about this as we enjoyed it tremendously our last stay at VWL. The plan includes bike rentals as well and we got our money's worth out of the boats and bikes for that stay.

I can see where fuel prices might have put a lot of cost pressure on this that Disney couldn't recoup through higher prices. Too bad...maybe they'll bring back a different version of the plan at some point.

It may be gone for good but I know in the past it has come and gone. It seems to me that it has not been offered as often in the summer. Maybe the boats stay busy enough then to not need the enticement of a plan.

So I wouldn't give up without checking when you get there.
