No more candy at the American Pavillion store at Epcot?

I'm at WDW now and was looking for the candy section they used to have at the American Pavillion store and there was nothing there. I asked a CM and they said they removed all the candy there. He said it was because of peanut allergies, which I found really weird. Is that really true? I was hoping to get some zotz candy.

I have a son with a peanut allergy and that doesn't make any sense. The Goofy candy store carries peanut stuff.
