No more All Hands on Deck :(

How hard is it to throw a few pieces of cheese and crackers on a plate? Very disappointed in the direction that DCL is taking. I'm sure that new cruisers don't know what they are missing but all of the reasons that I tolerate DCL pricing is for the extras. Now that those extras are disappearing and nothing of value is replacing them, I'm so disappointed in my (previously) favorite cruise line.

Same feeling here. We have our 3rd Disney cruise in April, I very much doubt that I will re-book while on-board. It already feels like this next Disney cruise will be like my Carnival cruise in 2010 where just about everything was an up-charge.

It seems like it's slowly going that way. Little by little they take free things away and want you to pay for it.

Just don't tell me they took away the hot cookies. The other cookies on board just aren't the same somehow.

Looks like ziplock bags and Cabanas for lunch. Raid the cheese like a pirate.

This is exactly what I was thinking!!
Maybe a small roll of plastic wrap!

If I am not mistaken, this is why my wife has one of those monster bags with shoulder straps. I think you call it a ....... purse.

This will be our 1st cruise and already things are changing since we booked it. I will find a way to sit on that expensive veranda with an adult beverage and some cheese if it kills me...

OK, so somebody on FB is reporting that she ordered the All Hands on Deck from room service last night.

Which ship? It appears it's been confirmed on the Magic and the Dream, but maybe the Fantasy and/or Wonder still have the old menu.

Turns out it was the Dream - but obviously they have changed the room service menu on the Dream for the new cruisers today. Guess she got lucky

Wow, what a shame. My son's favorite snack from Room Service. I hope it is a mistake too! We leave in a couple of weeks for the Wonder and I'll check too.

I wonder what else is changing.... Anyone try ordering a Mickey Bar from room service yet?

a few years ago i was able to get mickey marshmallow treats through room service but they took those away. taking mickey bars would not at all surprise me. :(

That's terrible if they are pushing a $38. plate now. I bet those working in room service feel awful whenever someone tries to order the former plate.

Are there ever to go boxes available at the buffet? Just thinking it would be easy to throw something like that together and put in the cooler in the room, but I've never seen any to go boxes of any type.
I usually take baggies for things like that. They don't take up much room in the luggage.

i do as well. i take a handful of most size freezer bags to because you never know what you may need one for. freezer bags are heavier and i put leaky things in them. they weigh nothing and take up no room at all.

The small zip lock containers are much better for this type of pillaging. Get a pack of 4 and tuck away. Toss them at end of cruise, use to wrap some breakable little items or use as some sand toys; versatile little things.
Seriously though this is very bad character on their part. That is why a premium is paid up front, these little magical treats are what sets them apart from the rest. Might be the last one for us :(:(:(

I cruise in three weeks. Seriously, having the cheese plate with a glass of wine on my veranda was my favorite thing. It was my "me" time. I have always loved DCL, though I have ventured on another line. I always did DCL first choice, now it's less likely I'll go on DCL again. I won't say never, but it's these things that are pushing me towards other lines.

I already canceled a longer cruise on DCL and changed it to a shorter one. While the changes weren't the total reason, it did play a part. The next cruise I booked isn't DCL, and the changes before this were the reason. Add the cheese platter and geesh....

For some it won't matter, and that's okay. It does to me. I'll enjoy my cruise in three weeks and figure a way to have my own cheese platters. I just won't do a OBB, that is for sure.
