Nevermind..too exhausted to try today

How does it make it difficult for the employee at the door?A friend of mine likes to make a big fuss about that too. Walmart only checks receipts for items too large to bag or that are not in a bag for whatever reason. It's really not thet big of a deal and I'd rather not make things difficult for the poor employee at the door.

They have never done anything other than respond with have a nice day to which I respond you as well.
While it appears to be a small right to give up, it is in effect waiving your fourth amendment right. Are you willing to give up your right to remain silent or the right to speak with your attorney to make it easier for the poor police officer to do their job?
Courts have ruled that asking for the receipt is the same as asking for permission to search your bags or seize your person.
Bag searches have been ruled legal by the US courts.Curious, do you also refuse the bag searches at Disney because it is in violation of your 4th amendment?
Bag searches have been ruled legal by the US courts.
Walmart asking to see your receipt has been ruled illegal by the US courts.
A very important difference.
Bag searches are legal for Disney, not Walmart. So you’d rather Walmart look through all your bags rather than flash your receipt at them for a whole five seconds?
Weird stance, but you do you…
Do you also not let costco check your receipt? Stores have every right to ask for it and double check. What do you think all the cameras are doing all around the store.. watching every step you do yet you wanna die on handing a receipt? Seems silly let them do there jobs and move along. If Walmart does not think I am a shoplifter, they have no legal grounds to ask to see my receipt.
I am not going to give up my legal rights just to make someones job easier.
It is not illegal for Walmart to ask to see your receipt. In fact it is perfectly legal and they still do it. What the courts ruled is that people do not have to stop and show it and Walmart cannot detain people simply for not showing it unless they have some other reason to do so. Also an important difference.Bag searches have been ruled legal by the US courts.

The thing is, even though they don't have to, the cops often give these people every chance not to get busted. The one in the bank was actually quicker to the arrest than most. This, all the videos of people "arrested for not wearing a mask" are not truthful. No one has been arrested for not wearing a mask, they are arrested when told they need to wear a mask, refuse, then are told to leave and they don't.
Twice it happened to me, except I said "no problem," turned around, and left.
I hope if you had made an issue of it, you'd do a more elegant job of it than Ricky Schroder, who posted it on his social media page, (and later apologized.)
I love the expression of the manager who handed him his Costco membership refund back.
Goodness, Schroder is 51 and he looks like a grizzled old grandfather in this video.Maybe if he didn't make such an issue of the small stuff, he'd look a lot better for his age.
PSA: Just so you know, making an issue of things often works out rather badly.
Usually they ask you to leave and if you don't, they call the cops and ask the friendly cop to trespass you, then if you don't cooperate, well you get arrested for trespassing and whatever other charges apply.
I've never seen any store happier to give a customer their money back. Lil Ricky has been an anti mask crusader for quite awhile. The thing is, he thought it was going to work out well for him. Instead he got roasted on Twitter after he posted it.Costcos in LA county will be a much more pleasant place to shop without such customers there.![]()
Too bad the cops didn’t knock that witch around a bit while arresting her.
My local Walmart stopped checking/scanning receipts when the pandemic hit.A friend of mine likes to make a big fuss about that too. Good point on the can't see when trying on glasses. It's been a long time since I've purchased glasses. Mine are I think 20 years old and I've only gotten cheap no coating basic lens replacement in the same frames since I've gotten contacts. I forgot about trying to look at the new glasses frames with not being able to see, LOL.I make aesthetic choices all the time on glasses frames...with barely being able to see..because I have crap vision. Been doing this since I was in 1st grade so I guess I'm just used to it. Granted I can wear my contacts and often do (I do to the exam because my eye doctor needs to make sure my contact still sits on my eyes correctly though I have to remove them to do the full exam and put them back in at the end for the eye fit check) but still, I'm not always doing so when perusing the glasses.
Scanning I can only guess maybe keeps track maybe should you be returning something and have the receipt. My local Walmart only did the whole looking at receipts for a very very short time and it was pre-pandemic. That location however has certain products under lock and key (condoms, plan b, men's electric shavers (actually don't remember if women's electric ones are but the men's are pricey), and hair dryers) but if I go up a few miles north that Walmart location does not have those items under lock and key except for electric shavers. My local Walmart however didn't need to look in bags for return items but the location a few miles north did and they put a sticker on the item.My local Walmart stopped checking/scanning receipts when the pandemic hit.
The thing that I laugh at is they look at or scan your receipt but DO NOT LOOK IN THE BAGS. They aren't verifying that I got my items and they are not checking to see that I don't have something I didn't pay for. So what does looking at or scanning my receipt do? At least at Costco they are "supposedly" looking at the items in your cart to verify you got everything.
I have to try on a ton of glasses because I have a very small face. Technically my glasses are from the child's section but I have to try on a lot. I've tried petites and they just don't work. Some of my frames however have been labeled as adult-childGood point on the can't see when trying on glasses. It's been a long time since I've purchased glasses. Speaking of glasses, had to tell my relief at work as I handed him all the paperwork, "I hope you can read this because I forgot my readers and I can't and I couldn't while I was writing it" LOL
