No magic at ASMo--long

I wrote to the Executive Office of WDW. I do not remember the address and can't locate my original letter. Call down to WDW and they will give you the address. Good luck.

No excuse.

Everybody knows that Christmas, New Years, Easter, and Thanksgiving are WDW's busiest days and at those times it is "all hands on board".

If the magic doesn't start flowing and the pixie dust doesn't start falling soon after you arrive, by all means let WDW know.

I am sorry to hear of your bad expereince. I have been reading the comments on service in the other threads and it just confirms what my mother (who works at one of the WDW moderate resorts) has been complaining about for about 5 years now. The work ethic of many of the new hires are not up to what use to be WDW standards. Some CM's are rude, nasty, lazy and just down right incomptent. (sp) Mother also blames the management in large part. Many of the managers she has encountered are simply unable to enforce WDW employment policies. Where she works runners hide out, and are no where to be found when housekeeping calls them. For many years there was no real coordination between housekeeping and the front desk, and the fromt desk CM's acted as if they were doing guests and housekeeping a favor by doing their job. Mind you, this indictment is for some CM's not all of them.

My mother is seriously thinking of retiring because she says it just isn't fun to work where she does any longer. Which is sad because up until last year, my mother adored her job, loved helping people and especially loved to either make magic happen or fix something for a guest so that the Disney magic could happen.

Please do not pounce on posters who complain. There complaints are legitimate and WDW should address them instead of giving guests a blank stare.

BTW, next time things get that bad find out who the general manager is of the hotel and when he/she will be in and talk directly to them. They generally do care. And I guarentee you they do care if a maid is threatening or meancing a guest.

Off my soap box now.
