No Lowes Gold benefit when using Entertainment Rate?

When I called HRH today to finalize my reservation for May, I was told that since the room is booked under Entertainment Rate (garden view $125 per night), I cannot get any perks for Lowes Gold member. Is this right? Does not include that I would not be able to get an upgrade (either comp or paying $35)? Thanks

I have heard this many times. But honestly...I have stayed on the entertainment rate and have always gotten upgraded and received my cookies and milk or wine at the end of the day. (I did have to remind them to send it a few times). I recently (in FEB) was a guest at the Royal Pacific at a rate of $99 and was upgraded for free to a king suite (I am a gold member and had a free coupon). Also got the cookies and milk and USA today. So I think it is hit and miss. When you arrive just ask about upgrades and request your ammenities and see what happens. I have never had a problem.

From what I've read here, it seems that most people using the Entertainment rate (or whatever discount) still get the Loews perks if they show their card. I hope it works for me.

I would'nt put much into that. I think they have to tell you that. But I've had 25 nights total stays all with some sort of discounted rate and always get my upgrades and perks. I would take it with a grain of salt and have a great trip.

Do you show them your Loews card at check in and then ask them about receiving your Loews card perks? Is there also a separate check in line for guests with the Loews card? (I thought I read that somewhere)

I think there is a line at RPH but not at PBH i know. You can call now and have them add your number to the ressies and that should take care of you but you can ask again at check in to make sure that your number is on the ressies and have your card available if it somehow dropped your number.

You can always ask...we were told last November that this rule would be going into effect. If you booked with the cheaper/discount rates like entertainment or some of the internet sites you were no longer eligible for the loews perks.

maybe it finally went into effect.
