No longer going to disney!!!!

For those of you keeping up with my PTR, I thank you. Keeping up with me is like, well I can't think of anything this early in the morning. But we have our money and will be paying off our WDW SOON!!! like this week or early next. It's a good feeling knowing we can do this and not have to worry.

Also, I've decided to get my mixology license--i.e. bartender so I can make serious money. I know a few bartenders that can work two or three nights a a week and make a ton of money. This is something I really, really want to do and not bakery and pastry arts--that's what I thought. So I'm going to the school this morning to check it out. :) I'll give you an update later.

And again, thank you for those who are keeping up with my PTR..I know it's hard to keep up ALL the time ;)

Thanks..I've been to Teppan Edo (I think it was a different name when I went) And I have been to 50's Prime Time and want to go back. As for the others, well I am looking forward to them.

And now we can pay off our Disney trip..our MONEY IS HERE!!!!!!!!!!!!!! YAY!!! Yes i'm excited!!! Can you tell :rotfl:

I've eaten at all the places you had listed except for Teppon Edo and Coral Reef. I loved all the other places though. Are you doing Chef Mickey's breakfast or dinner?

Yay! I am excited for you!:yay:

We'll probably eat at Chef Mickey's for breakfast since we'll have our own car. OR we might eat a late breakfast and just take the bus to MK and monorail over!! **sigh** I love the monorail and will ride it at all costs LOL

For those of you keeping score :) I'm going to Bartending School..that's right. Instead of spending $4,000 on tuition and 2.5 years for school, I'm getting my bartender's license..I can make upwards of $2000 a month in this area. We've got a ton of sports bars in the area and hotels too.

Oh last night we went to Best Buy and I bought Friday The 13th 3-D, The Godfather I and II for like $35.00...both Godfather movies were less than $10!!! My DW bought this animated series called Silverhawks So yeah, things are going well :)

Oooo....bartending school, that sounds like fun! Make sure you learn how to make an pineapple upside-down cake shot. I have no idea what is in it...vanilla vodka, pineapple juice, grenadine and something else I think, but it is my ABSOLUT (pun intended) favorite!

That and a midori sour. :)

I have a funny story about The Godfather, can I share? A few semesters ago, I took a class called Issues Management, and we studied how companies, campaigns, and organizations handled issues, both internal and external that crop up and threaten the outcome of projects. Well, in one of the last classes, we talked about issues and how they are handled in organized crime! So, we met with this guy who does a lot of issues management and is a big Godfather fan, and talked about it and watched parts of the movie. We met at his office building (after 7pm, all night classes) in a big conference room, and he brought wine and cannolis. Well, I had just come from a good bye party for a friend, so I had already had two drinks, and my professor, yes, my professor kept refilling my wine glass. I left the class sloshed. I got wasted in class!! And it was condoned by my teacher!Well. Sort of. Seriously, my roommate had to come pick me up. I'm surprised that I even made it through class without embarrassing myself. I do not typically drink like that, so it is very funny. Every time someone mentions The Godfather, I think of that, so I just had to share. :rolleyes1 :rotfl2: :rotfl2: :rotfl2: :rotfl: :lmao:

Also - you officially get the honor of my 200th post. :)

Congrats on paying off the trip!! I bet it feels great.

It will be so fun being a bartender. And $2000 a month is really good!

I FREAKIN love that movie---When I was like two or three, the book was already out. And my Grandmother (maternal) had a copy of it. Well every time I went over to her house I was so obsessed with that stupid book :) When I was much older, I learned of the movie and watched it...I was literally swept away. The movie came out when I was like three or four months old, so I have a personal connection to the movie.

That story is absolutely funny...Why would your professor let you drink like that? Just kidding. The cannoli's (sp) is just too funny too!!!

Thanks!!! I FREAKIN love The Godfather it came out when I was like three or four months old so I have a personal connection with it as well as the book. It's a classic (almost three hours) but worth watching. Plus it has Al Pacino...so that's a plus.

And yes it's going to be awesome being a bartender...I will be licensed and can bartend in any state that I know of. I'll be at one of the bars at Epcot telling them how to fix my drink LOL or I'll be ordering a Hairy Navel LOL

I'm finally caught up on your report, again. :rolleyes1 You mentioned the Oscars and not watching. I don't watch either. I feel that the stars recieve enough attention throughout the year. I don't really care what they're wearing, how much it cost, or what party they are going to afterwards. Not interested. Like a pp stated, half of the movies that are nominated for awards, I haven't even heard of.
Congrats on deciding on a career path. I've been contemplating going back to school myself. Something in health care.

I'm glad you're all caught up. And as for the Oscars, I'm like you--I could care less what they're wearing or who their with!!!

As for school, I am getting my bartender license---This will help pay the bills and jumpstart something. And I might not go back to get my bakery and pastry arts degree. If I'm making enough with bartending, I'll stick with that :)

Bartending sounds like fun! I'm sure you'll meet some fun & crazy people!!

Bartending is a lot of fun! I enjoyed it. I added a couple of nights to the dining part of our trip tonight. Did 10 instead of 7. I am so ready to go!

I am sooo looking forward to getting started. It was like, "This is what I really want to do." In NC you have to be licensed to serve alcohol. Not sure that it's like in other states. But I'm taking the professional course so I can work private events and weddings.

This will give me extra money to put towards our down payment on our house. I'm sure by the end of this year or early next year we'll be moving. My DW has been in this town house 9 years, going on 10. And I've been here five!! So it's time to go.

I know you're excited...and you get to go before us!! No fair LOL

Oh I think you will have a great time bartending. Plus working those events you will bring in a lot of cash!! :goodvibes

I think its great you are going to school for bartending. That sounds like it would be a fun job. Good Luck!

Bartending sounds awesome!!! I always wanted to do that!

Thanks to everyone who has responded to my PTR!!! I'll have to give you an update on Monday night. By then I should know more of how I'll like it. Today I went to lunch and they had a bar... I was drooling!!! Seriously though, this feels right and I like that feeling.

Today we talked about it and decided to take a day off our trip. We'll be checking in on the 15th and checking out on the 23rd. It's saving some money which is fine. We can do something around the area before going to Disney.

Last night, we bought a Nintendo Wii!!! and I LOVE it!!! We got the Wii Fit as well--lucked up on that one. I've been playing some today and my arms are SOOOOO sore!!

I start bartending school on Monday--excited about that too :)

Hope everyone is having a good weekend.
