He said, "On Sunday, since we had stayed up late for the Wine & Dine Half Marathon Finish Line Party, we slept in and went to lunch at Animal Kingdom's...




"I had never been here, but I really like food with African and Indian influences. I really enjoyed our lunch here. The Malay Curry Chicken was very good and I loved the hummus and pita."


However, the samosas with mango chutney were probably my favorite thing on the menu.



"I also enjoyed the Safari Amber beer."




"After lunch, we stopped at the...




...and picked up some drinks. I enjoyed a Tusker beer."




"We had a great day in Animal Kingdom."​

He said, "On this trip, I'm staying at Bay Lake Tower, for the first time, and my first time as a DVC owner. I love the resort! I wanted to check out the renovations at...




...so we stopped up for a drink."





"I enjoyed an Innis & Gunn beer, which was also the beer available at the Scotland booth at the Food and Wine Festival."




"It was great! I also thought the renovations looked really nice. I'll have to stop back by for dinner."





"Then for dinner, we went to...




"Our meal was wonderful. I started with a dirty Hendrick's martini, which was served with warm Potato Chive bread."





"I had the shrimp pasta for my entree. It was outstanding!"

"We had our final meal at Old Key West's...









"We had breakfast there about three times during our trip. I had the Poached Eggs and Hash."




"The eggs are served over Sweet Potato Hash and has Key West Hollandaise with multigrain toast."



"Lee Ann had Olivia's Breakfast with bacon, potato casserole (earlier in the week they had said this wasn't gluten free) and gluten free toast."





"We enjoyed our breakfasts here. Good food and good service."

"Both drinks were really bad. I think they were pre-made before the order since our waitress delivered them within a couple of minutes after the order. They were separated and we each took a sip and kept to our water."



"DS ordered sushi - nigiri. They were all good."

"The steak was delivered medium but not tender, too stringy. I ate some but wasn't much of a fan."



"DH got the Lamb Chop, which he said was great."








"We decided to get Lattes to go. Kona had computer issues this night, which their server crashed (meaning the whole MK's server) so we waited more than 20 minutes to be seated. We were in a hurry to get to MK to attend the Wishes Dessert Party and didn't want to eat dessert here."

I just wanted to say hi! After our trip in July, I got post-Disney depression and had to leave the boards (and avoid sharp objects!) because I thought that was going to be our last trip until after I graduated nursing school in 2015. Well...we're going back in August! Yippee! (DH misses his Dole Whip LOL!) So I'm back to stare at amazing food pictures to make the next 9 months go faster I can't wait to dig through the thread to check out what everyone has been up to for the past few months

She said, "For lunch we did Fastpass plus at Be our Guest. We are glad we did this as the line was massive and it was hot."

"We both had the pork dish which was delicious."










"For dessert I had the triple chocolate cupcake...




... and Lee had the strawberry cheesecake cupcake."




"We both agreed these cupcakes are the best we had had in WDW, very light sponge cake and the frosting isn't too much, just perfect. We will definitely be returning here. Best counter service meal in Magic Kingdom in our opinion."

Yesterday we also received the first updates from a new reporter who arrived at Disney World on Saturday, DaisyluvzGoofy.


She said, "We're here! Finally!!! We knew we wouldn't get into any parks Friday night, but we certainly didn't expect to spend an extra three hours on a lay over putting us into our first night in the wee hours of Saturday morning. Bummer, but we decided sleep was more important. We slept an hour past the plan, then took a shuttle back to pick up the car, checked in at the time share and booked it to EPCOT. I don' think we did too bad getting in a 10:00!

"At 10:30 the Hawaii and Desserts & Champagne booths opened so we started "nackling".

"[Nackle (nack-ell) Verb- used to describe small snacks you aren't necessarily hungry for, but can't resist.]"

"We started at Hawaii with the Pork Slider, which for 10:30 am and them just opening was surprisingly COLD! What?!? I just couldn't believe it."



"We'll have to try that one again. Overall, flavor and taste was wonderful!"



"Then Goofy headed over to D&C...






... and grabbed a trio and S'mores."






"I actually really liked the S'mores. I know a lot of people don't but I thought the flavors balanced out with a hint of marshmallow in the drink."



"For some reason we then decided to go back the other way. It might have been Goofy's OCD on the numbering in the passport or other things were closed the way we were going, but none the less."




"So next was an Empanada from Argentina."




"I burnt my tongue on this one, but I thought it was good. Goofy enjoyed it, said it ranked up in his top two foods ever. Which is saying a lot!"



"Next is a picture of me before I tried the Singapore Sling. Seriously. I hated that, but I finished it. Bleh!"






"We decided to cleanse the palate a bit and headed into Norway's Kringla Bakeri since we were right there."









"We tried a Trolls Horn, which, when looking at it was not what I expected."




"The "horn" itself was soft and light. The filling was creamy but airy making this a great light snack. Perfect for Nackeling! Personally I enjoyed this more than my memory of the School Bread, but Goofy disagrees. Oh well!"





"Next was on to Africa...




...where Goofy wanted a Spinach and Paneer Pocket."




"He enjoyed this, and I was "meh" about it. I knew what was around the bend too, and I was anxious to get moving!!"




"At the Brewers Collection...




... I got a small Grapefruit beer (not knowing if i'd like it, I'm more of a wine girl), and then a Nuedelgratin from Germany."



"I LOVE that beer. I can't wait to go back today, but I need to know where to get it back home!! Amazing."



"One of the highly anticipated stops of our trip around World Showcase was Poland - as I am Polish."




"I was hesitant to try the Pierogi but wanted to compare my own to their's."



"I have to say, I was disappointed. They honestly tasted like they came out of a highly processed factory. Another bummer. The Kielbasa was spot on though, but Goofy noted, "How can you mess up Kielbasa? It's just another meat product in a tubing!" Yeah, I guess he's right. Next time Poland, make your own pasta!!!"



"Having some time to kill we ventured into the Chase lounge."



"I forgot to get more pictures other than the view one, but this would be a great place to catch the shows or Illuminations. Not all the charging stations worked, but I was able to get mine to go. Goofy was happy because they had football on the TV. Good Stuff. Coke machine was great too."

She said, "After some lounging we headed over to our lunch reservation at Italy's...

"I forgot to get menu pics but Goofy had the Gnocchetti Sardi...




Gnocchetti Sardi - Cavatelli pasta, sweet sausage ragu, tomato, pecorino


... and I had the Salumiere."



Salumiere - mortadella, soppressata, finocchiona, provolone, olivada



"The sandwich was good, and the chips interesting but I had regret for that Gnocchetti. The sauce wasn't acidic, nor too sweet and the sausage was crumbly and full of flavor. YUM!"



"They brought us what looked like a peanut butter cup, but was a sweet chocolate mousse in a dark chocolate shell. They also sang what I assumed to be Happy Anniversary to us in Italian."




"(FYI We're celebrating a lot here. Goofy and I will be at our 2 year anniversary, his birthday is a few weeks away, and that wonderful job promotion that gave us the ability to take this vacation!!)"

One more Epcot update was received from DaisyluvzGoofy yesterday.


She said, "After Italy we were exhausted and the Time Share called to tell us our room was ready. We headed back for a quick nap (and to get out of the sun!!!) We got back around 7:30 and picked up going backwards."



"I tried the Pineapple Fritters at the Refreshment Port (no picture, boo!). I wish there was more powdered sugar on them but they were good. Goofy, who doesn't like pineapple, really enjoyed them since it took the bitterness out of the pineapple. Also enjoyed the Dole Whip with Creme de Cacao. Our server told me to be patient, and mix the alcohol into the whip slowly and it will be excellent. I did, and it was. The flavors complimented well and was very refreshing!"



"Next, we made it through the mob and crowds to Ireland for Fisherman's Pie and Warm Chocolate Cake!"



"I liked the Fisherman's pie more than the cake, but it may be because we waited too long to eat the cake. We'll try this again and see."





"Lastly, we headed into our late dinner at...

Coral Reef



"This is one of three Must Do's on our WDW vacations. The menu hadn't changed since we were here in February, so we knew what we'd have right away."



"Goofy had the Salmon which he once again loved."



"He said it wasn't fishy at all, and the flavors of the stir-fry were right on."




"I had the Mahi-Mahi and the Riesling they suggested in the menu. This was MUCH better than when I had it in February. Last time it tasted like they squeezed a whole lemon into the rice, but this time it had a subtle flavor or lemon which was balanced by the additional little shrimp in the rice as well as the excellent wine."






"Lastly, our server surprised us with the Chocolate Wave."




"Goofy isn't much of a chocolate person, so he enjoyed the Raspberry Gelato and I enjoyed the cake!"



"Saturday was a blast! Sunday was more of a relax day but I have some great updates! Much more to come!!!" ​

"For dinner I had the Bell and Evans chicken- I didn't like the surprise sausage patty that was underneath everything, but I loved the chicken, potatoes and kale!! The skin was perfectly salted and soo crispy!"





"Joe had the Dragon roll - he thought it was very tasty and the wasabi had a good flavor."





"The fireworks were about to start so we rushed out to see them! The castle looked so pretty!"

"We had breakfast at Crystal Palace this morning pre-rope drop. This was a first for us. Food was ok, we were there more because DD is a big Pooh fan!"

"Pecos Bill's is an old favorite. DH has a love for toppings and condiments - so the toppings bar is a hit."



"He had a bacon cheeseburger with just about every topping possible! It was a mess, but tasted good!"



"I ordered a kids hamburgers with fries and applesauce...






...and DD enjoyed some corn on the cob (and shared our fries and applesauce)."

"Later in the afternoon we stopped at Starbucks for a caffeine boost. We shared an iced coffee with caramel. DH thought it was weaker than our usual Starbucks."

Here is Julie's last update from yesterday.


"We didn't have dinner plans for tonight, and decided to head over to Epcot and brave the crowds on the last night of Food and Wine. It actually wasn't too bad - a few booths had lines, but most were 1-2 people long or walk-ups. And, a few items were sold out (the person in front of us at Brazil got the very last seared scallop!) but most items were still available."



"We got DD the baked ravioli in Italy, thinking it would be sort of like
Mac 'n cheese, but she didn't like it. I wasn't a fan either - too rich and just not all that interesting."






"Next we got the pork belly and black beans at Brazil. This was tasty! Just wished there had been a little more avocado on top."






"We tried the lemongrass chicken curry at Singapore. This was good - we loved the lemongrass flavor, and it had a kick to it. The chicken was very tender."





"Next we got a Mongolian beef steamed bun at China."




"This was our favorite item of the night! Good spice in the sauce, the beef was tender, and the bun was soft and light. I could have eaten a few of these!"




"Next we stopped at South Korea and tried the lettuce wrap and the kimchi dog."



"We love kimchi and we're looking forward to these. Both were good - the kimchi was fairly mild. The mustard sauce on the hot dog was good, but I think we both liked the lettuce wrap a little more."




"Our last stop was the cheese booth where we had the blue cheese soufflé with fig jam."



"Loved this ! Though, I rarely meet a cheese product I don't like. The blue cheese wasn't overpowering, and the fig was a nice compliment."



"Along the way DH got a Unibroue la fin de monde in Canada and an Octoberfest in Germany. Both beers were from a regular stand, and weren't part of the F&W festival."

"I had a Chardonnay from Australia, which was not overly oaky, and a Sauvignon Blanc from the cheese booth (which was sweet and not my favorite - I prefer a more citrus/grapefruit Sauvignon blanc)."

"Sorry I forgot to take beverage photos!"

"Overall we enjoyed tasting a few F&W items - and the crowds were manageable. We are spoiled with lots of great ethnic food at home, but it was fun to try some different cuisines at Disney!"

He said, "For my last day of the trip, I decided to conquer my fear of heights to go on Characters in Flight at Downtown Disney. I had a great time! The view is amazing. Afterwards, we went to lunch at..."










"I had the Our Pie to Try - pie of the day."



"Today's was made with chicken, mushrooms, and mashed potatoes. It was delicious!"



"I paired this with a beer tasting flight: "The Four Provinces" which was Guinness, Smithwicks, Harp, and Kilkenny."




"This was also served with house-made Irish soda bread, which was great."




"Azadeh ordered the Cluck Curry, which had wonderful flavor."






"We finished up with the Ger's Bread and Butter Pudding."







"This was a rich and tasty dessert, but not quite as good as the bread pudding at 'Ohana, in my opinion."



"I had another awesome trip, and I enjoyed lots of great food and drink. Here is a photo from the Wine and Dine Half Marathon. Hope you have all enjoyed my reports!"

Our First Update of the Day was sent to us this morning by mousegear.


She said, "I have to confess that there’s not a single picture of Wishes Dessert Party. MK was really crowded this night. We were seated front row first table by where they set up buffet line. However, here’s some pictures of the castle decorated for Christmas."







"On our last day in WDW, we had Kona breakfast ADR but we decided to cancel it when we came back from Wishes. Although I really miss having breakfast at Kona, it was really good decision since we had pretty busy morning packing last minute things and checking out of Beach Club. Also, we booked bounce back offer to Yacht Club for next summer. So for our breakfast, I wanted Mickey Waffles for the last time. We drove over to Wilderness Lodge to get our breakfast and visit for our potential hotel."


"Wilderness Lodge reminds of us Pocono’s Great Wolf Lodge. It’s indoor water park and we’ve stayed there several times."


















"I got the waffle with strawberries and cream...




...and DS and DH each got pancakes."



"They were good and it’s nice to have real breakfast option unlike BC/YC. We decided to leave our car and take the boat to MK for the last time. Thunder Mt was down this morning so we rode Splash several times without any wait."



"I got my beloved Dole whip Float for the last time."




"We were finished in MK pretty quick and DS wanted to repeat some food from F&W so back to Epcot. After several tries (which I didn’t bother taking pictures since lots of them were repeats), we got lunch at Katsura Grill. I thought I took pictures of them but I cannot find it. I got Chicken Cutlet Curry which I thought it was pretty good with big portion. DS got Tempura Shrimp Udon which he ate all. DH got Tonosama Combo and he finished his as well. We also ordered Green Tea ice cream and Strawberry ice cream which were pretty true flavors you would find in Japan."
