She said, "For breakfast this morning we decided to pick up some snacks from
Les Halles in France."




"We had the Croissant Jambon Fromage - ham, cheese and bechamel in a croissant."




"Sorry I took a bite before taking a picture this morning."



"I also picked up a Pain Au Chocolat - chocolate croissant."

thank you!! first, for having this wonderful thread that I follow religously! and second, for posting this link!! I've been trying to mathematically figure it out and couldn't get it at all. I'm hoping to join in at the end of Dec 2013.

Thank you! We did have a fantastic time! Unfortunately I wasn't so good at the "live" this time so I am back to work and still sending Barb updates. I'm on the last day though!

Speaking of Paula's many great updates, here is an especially great one that she sent us yesterday regarding a F & W event that she and Hunter attended last Saturday.





Paula said, "We upgraded this year! Hunter was tired of all our stuff going missing last year and trash on our table with just reserved seating."




"We were given lanyards to wear so they could identify who belonged in the Wine View Lounge."









"This was one of the best things I had all night!"










"This was also very good. Nice fresh pasta!"










"I enjoyed this but Hunter did not. He thought the risotto was undercooked..I'm not sure it there were different batches or what may have been different."









"This was unfortunately overcooked and very tough."









"Unfortunately this was also overcooked!"








"This one, all I could taste was the spices on the crostini. They completely overpowered everything!"










"I don't think I tried this one."










"I again did not have this one. Hunter said it was pretty good."








"This was good...interesting. The "poppin" was Pop Rocks!"







"Neither Hunter or I actually tried this."









"This was cold (I'm sure supposed to be that way) but I was really not hungry so again passed."

"They had chocolate martinis available in the Wine View Lounge. We shared one. It was good but not something I am running to order again."

"Overall we were disappointed with PFTS compared to last year. Last year the food was fabulous. This year much of it was overcooked. I thought it was just me, as I was developing a cold but Hunter said he felt the same."

He said, "After relaxing around the resort I found myself heading back to...

"Pineapple Dole Whip!"

"This treat is partially the reason why I stay at the Poly. How can you go wrong with a self serve Dole Whip a mere couple minute walk from your room? I noticed they changed the container for the Dole Whip, the old one was a bit more shallow and more difficult to really build a substantial Whip. This new bowl is much deeper and allows for easier stacking."

"Coming up will be a late night snack at Kona Island Sushi Bar."

Jim said, "Lee Ann and I had tea at the Grand Floridian, we both had the Buckingham Palace. It included traditional tea sandwiches, scones and jam tarts, strawberries and cream, or fresh baked pastries."








"Lee Ann's sandwiches were all on gluten free bread, she chose to not have the shrimp or the egg salad sandwiches and they were replaced with a ham and a turkey."






"Her 2nd course was gluten free banana nut bread and corn bread. She was a bit disappointed as they were both dry and crumbly."






"My second course."






"My 3rd course was the chocolate eclair and a coconut, chocolate and pistachio tart."





"Lee Ann had strawberries and fresh whipped cream."



"I liked it overall, Lee Ann had a good talk with the manager about next time."

Hello!

I'm looking forward to live reporting for my Wine & Dine Half Marathon trip! I'l be in Walt Disney World from November 7-11. I'm travelling with a friend from Washington DC and meeting up with some more friends there in Florida. This will be my third time Live Reporting and I'm excited for another fun trip!

Our last two updates from last night were sent to us by a new reporter who arrived at Disney World on Thursday, Kim (Kimmy2Disney).


She said, "After we got checked in we headed to the MK and grabbed lunch at...




"It was yummy!"










"DH had the strawberry chicken salad...






...and I had the Reuben with fries."






"DD just shared, and my mom just got here today so she wasn't there. We would definitely go here again, and repeat the order." ​

I am finally getting caught up after vacation, and not doing a very good job of it. I have been travelling for work ever since I got back, it seems.

Paula, it was so cool to meet you and Hunter. Again, I had such a great time at the Classic I thank you so much.

I am planning my January anniversary trip, and thinking of Citricos. Your chef's tasting menu with wine pairings looked awesome. Wondering how much $$$$ that set you back? I am trying to budget and would love to consider doing that. I seem to be filling up with signatures, so I need to plan my dough.

Have other chefs done the same for you? Would I be too bold to ask? Any tips would be helpful.

Then Kim's next update was from their visit to Epcot on Thursday evening.


She said, "Thursday night we decided to go to Epcot to try some food and wine booths but first we went through Club Cool because I had heard they changed their flavors."





"Looks like only Beverly and vegebeta made the cut to stick around."





"Joe was sad to see Kinley and the Ginger ale go, but hopeful that the new flavors would delight. He left sad. I didn't mind the new ones - the melon one is similar to the old watermelon from China that I loved so I was happy!"





"Then we tried a few booths....










"In Belgium we got the Leffe Brune and a potato leek waffle."



"So good! Ill probably see another one in the next week."






"Joe is a sushi lover, so he wanted to try the Spicy Hand Roll in Japan."



"It was a good size and indeed was spicy!! He enjoyed it!"





"Got the ceviche and key lime wine at...








"Both were awesome, but this wine was excellent! I'll need to buy some to take home!"




"DD loves noodles, so we got the Pepper shrimp with noodles in...






"We ate the shrimp and she gobbled up all the noodles. We thought it was bland but it was perfect for her, and a pretty large portion size!"



"And finally the highlight of the night!!"








"Tried the pineapple margarita this time."




"I've never had it and it did not disappoint! It was pretty strong. We shared it so it was perfect!... But I'll definitely want another next time we are in the area."​

Now for our First Update of the Day sent to us this morning by Paula (smile4stamps).


She said, "Good morning Barb. I'm finally up to Sunday which will sadly be my last day of updates as we didn't eat anything at Disney before we left Monday morning."

"We didn't have an alarm set and I believe this is the day Hunter woke up before me. He asked what the plans were and I said just the Mixology seminar at 6 and dinner at CA Grill. I quickly checked my phone though to see if I could get some FP+ for DHS as it had 2 of his favorite rides and we hadn't even been there yet! I was able to score the FP+ so we got ready and headed out. A bus pulled up almost right away and we were on our way. When we arrived our first FP+ was for 11:25 but it was only 11:05 and we were a bit hungry. Hunter was looking for a corn dog.. We couldn't find any (do they have them at DHS? I've only had them in DL!) so we ended up here..."











"We ordered the salad and the Mac 'n cheese dog to share."




Fairfax Salad - Chopped romaine, chili, tomato, roasted corn, sweet peppers, Montorey Jack and corn tortillas served with a Jalapeno ranch dressing





Macaroni & Cheese and Truffle Oil Hot Dog



"And an inside view...





"We thought both were good! The salad was a bit strange with chili on it but the flavors were great. Now this is when my cold really started to kick in so I wasn't tasting things 100% but thankfully it wasn't affecting my taste too much and I was able to enjoy the food." ​
