"I had an OJ and the Blueberry Croissant Bread Pudding...




"Nothing beats getting there to order and the entire pan of the Bread Pudding is intact. I've heard great things about this light breakfast option and it was delicious! The top providing a nice crispy chew with the bottom layers pretty much melting in your mouth. I was shocked how big the portion was for 2.99, it's kind of sad when the OJ is more than the food."




"A little later in the day I found myself entering World Showcase for a bit more F&W tasting."

"The lady assembling this went HEAVY HEAVY on the pork, easily enough for two sliders stuffed into one."





"With something savory you need something sweet to balance it out."







"The Dessert Trio - Chocolate Orange Cupcake, Hazelnut Chocolate Cheesecake, and Morello Cherry Pistachio Mousse."






"All I can say WOW, 3 unique flavors that were amazing to sample at once. I'd have to say the Chocolate Orange Cupcake was my favorite, despite it being a bit difficult to eat, I couldn't peel the backing off and pretty much had to eat it like a push-pop. The Hazelnut Chocolate Cheesecake was mild and sweet, and I loved the tartness the Morello cherries provided to the Pistachio Mousse."

Next in was the first update from a new reporter who arrived at Disney World yesterday, Bobbie (lilpig).


She said, "We had a rough time getting here. Our flight was messed up because of weather, so we were five hours behind schedule and my luggage was missing for a bit." :(

"Once we arrived at Pop Century we ate at the food court...

"I was so hungry that I thought it tasted like the best thing ever. However after a few minutes a realized it wasn't. It's good and a good value though.

...and Tye dye cheesecake that we both agree is very yummy."





"We also stopped at the bar and I had a Banana Cabana (no pic). It was delicious as always!"

She said, "After leaving DHS we headed to Epcot by boat and Hunter decided he wanted more to eat since I had most of the fried chicken. :confused3 So he stopped here...

"Unfortunately I was not impressed as they were super greasy!"



"Having tossed those, Hunter decided we both needed more so he got the chicken chunks and got me the shrimp, both with no fries. They were around $12 total being served this way."





"Unfortunately the shrimp were also on the greasy side so I ended up taking the breading off and just having the shrimp."

"The mint juleps are so good!! We also had the pumpkin beignets and plain. I like the plain better. The pumpkin ones were really heavy but the plain ones were light and delicious."

She said, "Change of dinner plan! Nabbed a reservation with this guy!"

"We lucked into an 'Ohana reservation for last night and are so glad we did. We debated when we saw it available if we should take it - 9:15 seemed so late! Our stomachs agreed. The wait was worth it though, it was yummy! We hadn't been here in a few years because it hadn't been great but tonight, it gets a thumbs up." :thumbsup2



First up, salad...



"It was delicious! I loved the dressing and the passion fruit/mandarin oranges. Yum!"



"The bread though...



...Ehh. I'm sure if it was warm it'd of been good but it was completely cold, a little hard and just unappetizing."



"Then rolled the wings, dumplings and sauces...



"Oh my gosh - yum! The wings had the right amount of crisp as you bit into them, the chicken was juicy and we both loved the BBQ sauce they were in. The dumplings - they were fresh. Still warm on the inside and the outside stayed crispy. They were the favorite thing of the meal for both of us!"


"Next rolled out the meats and noodle/veggie bowl...




"The meat - the steak was phenomenal. Super juicy, tender, and had a nice char on the outside. Chicken was as dry as leather though, ate one bite and moved along. The shrimp were good. I thought a little overcooked but still good. The pork? The pork never came around but that was okay - I was beyond stuffed!"






"I'm not a huge fan of their noodles. They're fine and taste fine but they weren't the star of the show. The veggies though - I wasn't expecting much and was surprised! They maintained a bit of crunch but imparted great flavor - they were salty, garlicky, crunchy veggies. I ate thirds!"



"Then came the dessert of all desserts...




"It was just as amazing as I remember, maybe better. No need to describe this. You know it tastes like magic. We ate it straight out of the bowl so we wouldn't miss any of that banana foster sauce!"

"Everything about this meal was absolutely perfect from the view to the service to the food and the neighboring tables visiting with us. A little warning though, there will be prawn heads shown." ;)

"Greg loved the Lavender Focaccia Bread while I really enjoyed the whole wheat sourdough rolls."



"For our appetizers Greg had the Sonoma Goat Cheese Ravioli - Tomato-Fennel Broth, crispy Mushrooms, Basil, Benziger Estate Olive."






"While I had Baked Jumbo Prawns - Charred Lemon, Blistered Baby Tomato and Cipollini Onion Relish, Watercress."





"For our main courses Greg had the Georges Bank Scallops - Homemade Potato Gnocchi, Smoked Pork, Grilled Onions, Rapini, Parmesan Foam (which by the way has changed to a spicy curry spiced scallop)."





"For my main I had the Pacific Halibut - Parsnip Silk, Roasted Heirloom Beets, Arugula, Macadamia Vinaigrette, Beet Syrup."





"For dessert Greg had the Lemon Meringue Cheesecake - Meyer Lemon-Mascarpone Cheesecake, Citrus Cookie, and Charred Meringue Clouds."





"I had the Seasonal Tasting: Heirloom Apple - Apple Cupcake with Cream Cheese and Streusel, Warm-spiced Cider, Peanut Butter Caramel Apple, and Apple Cheddar Turnover with Compote and Cardamom Glaze."

She said, "Lunch today was in DHS at Sci-Fi. Sorry for the lack of food pictures, it was just too dark! I snapped two though, of the menu. Hope they're readable!"






"We shared an order of the pickles - they were good but probably won't have them again. There was too much breading, not enough pickle. Mom had the shrimp pasta and loved it! She counted 24 shrimp in the pasta! We were surprised how many she got. I got the Build your own Burger - it was tasty! Cooked a perfect medium, was juicy and you could taste the grill char. Overall, a solid lunch!"

"It was extremely crowded with people trying to get in out of the rain for a while. We were still seated right on time with our ADR."

"For mains Greg had the Malaysian Seafood Curry - Mahi Mahi, scallops, little neck clams, mussels, shrimp, zucchini, roma tomatoes, red curry coconut broth, and jasmine rice."





"While I had Duck with Anandapur Glaze - roasted half duckling, orange wasabi glaze, jasmine rice, stir-fried vegetables."





"For dessert Greg had Mango Pie - shortbread cookie crust, fresh whipped cream, raspberry sauce."





"While I had Fried Wontons - Skewers of fresh pineapple and cream cheese wontons, vanilla ice cream, honey vanilla drizzle... these were so yummy."

He said, "After meandering from country to country around World Showcase, I made it to Italy where I had reservations at...







"I knew that coming here there was one thing I had to absolutely try, that being the Arancini. How can you go wrong with deep fried risotto stuffed with sausage and cheese, served upon tomato sauce?"



"These were as good as I expected and then some, good thing there are only three because these are very rich and very filling for what looks like a small portion."



"For my entree I selected the Capricciosa individual pizza...




"It's normally topped with eggplant, artichokes, ham, mushrooms, mozzarella, and tomato sauce. I'm not a fan of artichokes so I had them hold that and my server asked if I'd like extra eggplant or mushrooms and I picked eggplant."


"This was perhaps the second best pizza I ever had. I'm from NJ so I'm a hard marker for when it comes to pizza since well you can close your eyes and pick out a random pizza parlor around here and odds are it'll be decent to good. I've been told that people at Via Napoli are turned off by the coal fired oven, and the smokey/sooty taste their ovens impart onto the pizza so they tend to "undercook" them. I told my server not to worry, I like it crispy and they gladly obliged. I felt like a pig eating the entire pie, but I just couldn't let it go to waste."





"Of course being on vacation you always seem to magically make room for dessert, so I took a look at the menu."








"Oddly enough nothing really jumped out to me, but I still made a selection."



"Gelato Frizzante - Italian Ice Cream Soda made with San Pellegrino Aranciata and Vanilla Gelato."

"This was pretty much like a tart orange creamsicle, it was refreshing and not overly heavy. I easily could've drank one of these during my meal."

She had sent several updates to me by email since arriving there but unfortunately I did not receive them...her emails are apparently are lost somewhere out in cyberspace. :confused3 So now mousegear is resending me the missing updates by iMessage and so far, so good. :thumbsup2
