No kids, no husbands & no rain! Girls weekend at BWI! - NEW 11/12 p16 -The End!

:rotfl: you did post the picture...and to clarify...that hat is not for me but for my daughter Amy was a great sport helping me out ]

:rotfl:

I can't believe you only got one thing from the F&W F booths....that senstitive tummy of yours ;) looks like you and Laura are having a wonderful time, great weather and low crowds :thumbsup2

I found those Darth Vader & Yoda buttons (along with the Darth Mickey) at the dump shop after the backlot tour. I bet they would have them at Tatooine Traders too.

Subbing! I have read your Day 1 so far and really enjoy reading all the little details you include in your writing. You were off to a great start and I can't wait to read more soon!

Love me some Sangria!!:) Choc Mousse too!!

Looks like a great view from your room watching Illuminations:thumbsup2

Glad to hear Laura's foot & ankle were ok.

:welcome: Thanks for reading!!

Hey, no problem! I am all caught up now. Taylor Dane was my favorite 80's/early 90's pop star, right next to Paula Abdul and Mariah Carey! I would have loved to see her last year but missed her by a day and got Boyz II Men instead.

A churro is the only thing you tried at the Food and Wine booths!!! Glad you liked it, though. :goodvibes

Love all the pictures and review of Via Napoli! It is very pretty in there!

Great updates Amy! World Showcase looks like a lot of fun during the F & W Festival, I hope to get Cory there too, I believe he would love all the extra booths set up! I LOVE all your pics of the fun souvenirs you bought! A lot of fun shopping! You will have to go back to Innoventions with the boys, Gabe really really liked the "Don't Waste It" trash activity, they get to push around a mini-trash truck! There are so many fun things in there!

Also, sorry about your loss, my thoughts and prayers are with you and your family.

Hey Amy!! All caught up, thanks for the awesome links. :) So far, great report! I am seeing many similarities among our "girls' only" trips. What a bummer we missed each other by just a couple days. This time was my first experience with the love bugs. Ick!! Cannot wait to read more.

:scared1: I can't believe you only had one CHURRO from the F&W Booths!!! Greg and I will have a hard time going at any other time of year to Disney besides during the F&W Festival from now on, we're hooked!!!

Wow! What a full and fun day at Epcot! So glad Laura loved Epcot! Who can blame her? ;)

And :yay: for her foot pain going away! That is great news!

Replies later... but wanted to give you all a personal life update.

Many of you who read my PTR know that Tim's grandmother (GG) broke her hip a month ago. His mom, "Gramma Nancy" has been in Florida since then. GG has had her ups and downs, but lost her battle this afternoon and passed away with her two kids by her side.

Zach doesn't seem too upset about it, but Alex has really been effected. I think it's because he thinks Gramma Nancy is now "next in line" even thought she's only 66. Both boys are also really missing DMIL & will be REALLY happy to see her when she gets home on Monday. There will be a service in New England sometime in the next few weeks since most of her family is up this way. Her husband (Grampa) is buried in Connecticut and she will be buried with him.

So sorry to hear about this.

I love churros! :thumbsup2

Taylor Dane?? Wow! Blast from the past! :cool1:

The churro was awesome!! :thumbsup2

It was fun hearing Taylor Dane! :music:

Love me some Sangria!!:) Choc Mousse too!!

Looks like a great view from your room watching Illuminations:thumbsup2

Glad to hear Laura's foot & ankle were ok.

That was some good sangria!! We had a hard time deciding what to get to drink but I'm glad we went with the sangria! :lovestruc

It was so cool to see Illuminations from our balcony! :thumbsup2

You would have been in heaven then! :cloud9: I think she played three times that night & we caught part of two different performances. We didn't really stop, except for a picture, but it was cool to be able to hear her throughout the back section of the WS.

Love all the pictures and review of Via Napoli! It is very pretty in there!

Yes - only one churro! :headache:

I really enjoyed Via Napoli - but Alex doesn't eat pizza  so I'm not sure when I'll get back. I wish they did the pizza window that had been rumored.

F&W was really cool! But it definitely brought in the crowds on the weekend! We'll definitely be back at Innoventions with the boys! :thumbsup2

Thanks for your thoughts & prayers! :goodvibes

:welcome: Hi Kelli! I'm so glad you found me! I was bummed we missed each other by so little too! Glad you had fun thought. And yes - love bugs - yuck! :headache:

:scared1: I can't believe you only had one CHURRO from the F&W Booths!!! Greg and I will have a hard time going at any other time of year to Disney besides during the F&W Festival from now on, we're hooked!!!

Yes one churro... the thick weekend crowds may have had something to do with it. Sometimes we couldn't get close enough to the booths to see what they were serving!

Wow! What a full and fun day at Epcot! So glad Laura loved Epcot! Who can blame her? ;)

And :yay: for her foot pain going away! That is great news!

So sorry to hear about this.

We had so much fun!!

Big yay for the foot pain going away - on the first day I had visions of a wheelchair! :rotfl:

Thanks for the wishes!

Yes - I love the KP missions!! I've only done Japan & Germany (with the family) and now China so there are plenty of choices left... do all of the countries have missions? :confused3

I don't think there is a mission in Canada. Let's see - I did England, Norway, Germany, and China. That leaves France, Mexico, and Japan. Yup - I think Canada is the odd country out.

The funny part is we were drinking when we did the last couple of missions so Germany is mostly a blur and a lot of laughter. That means I get a do-over. :thumbsup2

Great ending to Day 2. Via Napoli looks really good and I'm glad to hear the sangria was good. I love sangria and I'm eating there in May. Looks like a perfect meal, especially when you can hit the boardwalk bakery for desserts. Yum!

How lovely to see Illuminations from your balcony. I would love that! I still can't get over what a steal you got on the room rates. Amazing!

Really enjoying your TR and I like that you do a recap at the end of each day. I should think about that because it's a fun way to summarize the day.

what a fun day! I'd have been wiped out too. I am really looking forward to my first Kim Possible missions and that pizza did look good, bummer that service was slow though. I can't believe you only had one item from a food and wine booth too but at least it was a yummy one!

Pretty pretty kimono, it looks like it would be at least $60!

Awesome day at Epcot! It always amazes me how much you can get done in one day at Epcot but still have sooo much left to want to do! You did get an awesome view in your room too!

How about Morocco? :confused3 They don't have one do they?

I can't wait to do another in March... and maybe January too? :thumbsup2

I think you'll enjoy Via Napoli if you aren't in a rush. Hopefully the service will be better by then. We actually got dessert in Boulangerie Patisserie! You can't beat dinner in Italy followed by dessert in France! :thumbsup2

The deal was incredible & I feel really lucky that we got a great room since we certainly didn't pay for the view.

I've seen others do recaps & it's fun to summarize the day & see how it compared to the original plan!

I know... it's a little sad that we only had one F&W visit... :sad2:

KP missions are a lot of fun. I wasn't sure if we'd do one or not but I'm glad we did.

Laura & her family are enjoying the kimono. It was only $60 becaue it was a kids size. The smalls & mediums were $50, the large and XLs were $60. I'm not sure how much the adult sizes were - we should have looked.

Awesome day at Epcot! It always amazes me how much you can get done in one day at Epcot but still have sooo much left to want to do! You did get an awesome view in your room too!

There is soooo much you can do at Epcot - it really is a huge place with a lot going on.

Our view was fabulous! :thumbsup2

Great update Amy. I LOVE CHURROS!!! So delicious! :yay:

It sounds like you had a great day. A little World Showcase, a little Future World.....PERFECT!
