No kids, no husbands & no rain! Girls weekend at BWI! - NEW 11/12 p16 -The End!

I got a little excited for you when I saw all those Food and Wine booths! :goodvibes

Great pictures in Future World! I had to laugh over your comment about being nervous in aquariums! I always worry about the walls cracking, too!

There was a lot of squishy, crowded feeling during the backlot tour... It wasn't so bad for the wait & for the water scene, but the prop shop was bad... it could have just been the kids behind us not paying attention, but they kept bumping into us.

thanks for the feedback...I think maybe I'll talk to Matt about dropping it and doing the drawing instead that day...maybe we'll just play it by ear based on crowds....

so hey love the early morning pic's of Epcot and your walk in...and this 2nd part of the day sounds vaguely familiar ;)

question? so you could enter at the IG before WS officially opens and walk down into FW then?

Great morning Epcot pics:thumbsup2 I loved walking from the IG into Epcot in the am.

Glad to hear Laura liked Soarin & she was loving Epcot & she had only seen a part of it:)

Cannot wait to see some shopping pics.

Great start to your Epcot day! I LOVE aquariums and you got some really good pics! I'm hoping to do the dive tour in the Epcot Seas in March! I can't wait to see souvenir pics and hear about the rest of your Epcot day!

I just joined in and I'm really enjoying your TR!
I'm headed to wdw on the 24th - just me & my mom - so the girls only trip caught my eye :goodvibes

It looks like you guys had a blast! Gosh, BWI is absolutely gorgeous, that is my dream resort :lovestruc

The end of your DHS was great Amy! I LOVE the Beauty and the Beast show and we hope to get to Fantasmic next time!! A 35 minute wait for TSMM is not too shabby!! Your walk to Epcot through the International Gateway looked beautiful! I hope to stay at one of the Epcot resorts one day, maybe next time I can score an awesome room rate too!!:thumbsup2 It must be cool to walk through World Showcase when it's "closed"! I get that same feeling in "The Seas" too about a crack in the tank...:scared1: Looking forward to more of your Epcot day!!!

what a fun morning! Isn't that walk wonderful???

Oh those booths make me long for a food and wine trip.

Your aquarium comment cracked me up.

Replies later... but wanted to give you all a personal life update.

Many of you who read my PTR know that Tim's grandmother (GG) broke her hip a month ago. His mom, "Gramma Nancy" has been in Florida since then. GG has had her ups and downs, but lost her battle this afternoon and passed away with her two kids by her side.

Zach doesn't seem too upset about it, but Alex has really been effected. I think it's because he thinks Gramma Nancy is now "next in line" even thought she's only 66. Both boys are also really missing DMIL & will be REALLY happy to see her when she gets home on Monday. There will be a service in New England sometime in the next few weeks since most of her family is up this way. Her husband (Grampa) is buried in Connecticut and she will be buried with him.

Prayers will be send for your family during this hard time!!!! It's never easy to lose someone you love!!!!!

I am so very sorry to hear about your loss. Hugs and prayers going your way.

My thoughts & prayers are with you & your family. So sorry for your loss.

I am so sorry Amy, your family is in my thoughts and prayers.

Thank you everyone! :goodvibes

Great morning in Epcot! I love Epcot, too. In fact, on my last trip I remember thinking how cool it would be to do every attraction that Epcot offers during one trip. I wonder how long that would take?

I loved the KP missions during our May trip. I hope you guys had fun with them. I thought Germany was a hoot (made even better by the 3 drinks I had before I got there) ;)

I'm still trying to do every attraction... I've been working on it for years & I'm still not done!

Zach really loves the KP missions... I thought it would be fun to do one with Laura so she could see some of the fun things for her girls. I'll have to try having three drinks before my next mission! :rotfl:

It was fun to see the F&W booths... even more fun to see them as we walked in through the IG. :thumbsup2

Luckily my fear of cracking walls doesn't keep me from aquariums... I just don't like to hang out in there too long! :rolleyes1

Epcot is my FAVORITE!! Beautiful early morning pics!

I don't think there's anything better than any park first thing in the morning... the ground is still wet from the nightly clean up... the whole day ahead of you... :cloud9:

You could probably make the Backlot Tour work if you spread your group out sort of shielding Nathan from the masses. I have another suggestion for you... I'll email you.

Yes - We entered through the IG at 9am and just walked to Future World. I don't remember seeing any ropes or anything like that either... I wonder if you can walk around the WS before the attractions & shops open?? :confused3

Cannot wait to see some shopping pics.

Nothing beats being able to walk to Epcot!! It was the best! :thumbsup2

Shopping pictures coming up!

The dive tour sounds cool - I don't know that I'd want to... but for someone who dives that would be really fun. We saw a diver (I assume a CM) in the tank by the giant sea turtle.

I just joined in and I'm really enjoying your TR!

:welcome: Yay for another girls weekend!! I hope you have fun!

BWI was never really at the top of my wish list, but now I would LOVE to stay there again some day. :lovestruc

It's too bad that they don't show Fantasmic every night like they used to. It makes it hard for families with young kids to wait in the stadium. It can be kind of scary too so keep that in mind for the kids.

B&B was great! I'm glad I finally got to see it.

I feel like our BWI experience was a once in a lifetime deal... but I still hope to stay at the Beach Club with the kids sometime.

what a fun morning! Isn't that walk wonderful???

The walk was great!!

I "cracked" you up? :lmao::rotfl2::rotfl:

Really now? Can't wait to see this!!!!

So sorrry about GG....Hugs to everyone. And because we live parallel lives...John's 92 yo Grandma just broke her hip on Monday.

So what did I buy at Mousegear? First I have to show you a few things I bought at DHS after the Backlot tour... I totally forgot about these when I wrote the update.

Jedi Mickey:

To add to Alex's Mickey collection... I'm not sure if I found them all or not:
100_2624.jpg

And these cool buttons that each say three expressions in that character's voice:
100_2620.jpg

Yoda says, "Judge me by my size, do you?", "May the force be with you." and "Powerful you have become, the dark side I sense in you."

Darth Vader says, "You don't know the power of the dark side", "I am your father" and heavy breathing. :rotfl:

That was it for DHS! Onto Mousegear...

I had a favor to do for Julie (mousescrapper)... she wanted a princess bucket hat. In this awful picture, I was trying to give Julie a sense of the size:

She also wanted a girls pressed penny book. I didn't take a picture of it before mailing it off to her... but I also bought two penny books for my boys:
100_2606.jpg

Julie's book had a tink theme. I also included a tink pressed penny for her. My boys got a sports Mickey penny & a Jungle Cruise Mickey:

Zach also stole my BWI penny & added some regular pennies:
100_2607.jpg

I also purchased a couple things for Tim. This is for golf:

And shhhhh... don't tell him I posted his undies:

Snowy wanted in on the photo shoot:

That's all I bought... we had a day of shopping at DTD the next day so I wanted to wait to buy much more. Laura saw a few things she liked but didn't buy anything at Mousegear.

Up next: Back to the World Showcase

Really now? Can't wait to see this!!!!

NO WAY!!! OMG that's so freaky!!! I hope she recovers!

And no... I can't imagine having three drinks before doing a KP mission! I'm not a big in park drinker... I like to enjoy a little wine in the condo before bed but not three in one night! But it would make for an interesting experience!

So sorry about GG

Great purchases! My nephew got that pressed penny book in August. It's such a great way to store all of those pressed pennies.
