I've been on SW in October and again last week - they are NOT serving alcohol at this time and you're not allowed to bring any on board to consume on the plane. They serve only water in a cup and a snack bag.
Are airlines currently serving or not serving alcoholic beverages for purchase? I'm assuming not because they want you to keep your mask on?

We flew United first class to Virginia in October and Orlando in November, and DH had alcoholic beverages on all four flights. They were serving nonalcoholic beverages as well. These flights were all 2 1/2 to 3 1/2 hours long but I think they offer drinks on all their flights.
You can always pregame the flight with a glass of wine at the bar in the airport right before boarding. We usually do that preflight as it’s usually a bit cheaper than on the plane anyway. We are flying United, but not first class.
Trip not for a few months, so maybe thing will change by then.
I'd rather just have a glass of wine than take a Xanax. I only take them when I fly and I feel groggy the entire first day. One glass of wine will have me feeling good for a 2.5 hr flight and ready to go for the rest of the day!
Thanks all!

I also take either Xanax or Valium for flying and I’ve found that breaking the pill in half still gives me the peace of mind I need for the flight but helps cut out the lingering drowsiness. Sometimes I also pair the half a pill with a Dramamine or Bonine also if I’m not having the wine.
I've only flown Delta, no alcoholic beverages (not even in first class).
That changed. DL had to pony up with some free booze to compete with everyone else who kept it in premium classes.I've only flown Delta, no alcoholic beverages (not even in first class).
