Are airlines currently serving or not serving alcoholic beverages for purchase? I'm assuming not because they want you to keep your mask on?

:D

I've been on SW in October and again last week - they are NOT serving alcohol at this time and you're not allowed to bring any on board to consume on the plane. They serve only water in a cup and a snack bag.

Thank you!

I've only been flying Frontier, but they are not doing a snack/beverage service at all. Only water upon request.

We flew United first class to Virginia in October and Orlando in November, and DH had alcoholic beverages on all four flights. They were serving nonalcoholic beverages as well. These flights were all 2 1/2 to 3 1/2 hours long but I think they offer drinks on all their flights.

Southwest - not serving adult beverages. Nor can you consume any you brought onboard. But they do serve water and snacks.

We are flying United, but not first class.
Trip not for a few months, so maybe thing will change by then.

I'd rather just have a glass of wine than take a Xanax. I only take them when I fly and I feel groggy the entire first day. One glass of wine will have me feeling good for a 2.5 hr flight and ready to go for the rest of the day! :)

Thanks all!

You can always pregame the flight with a glass of wine at the bar in the airport right before boarding. We usually do that preflight as it’s usually a bit cheaper than on the plane anyway.

I also take either Xanax or Valium for flying and I’ve found that breaking the pill in half still gives me the peace of mind I need for the flight but helps cut out the lingering drowsiness. Sometimes I also pair the half a pill with a Dramamine or Bonine also if I’m not having the wine.

One of our last flights we were stuck on the tarmac for 30 minutes before we took off and I was almost going to pee my pants (sorry) by the time they let us use the restrooms once we were in the air! Now I don't drink anything before boarding. :D

Thanks for the other tips!

Flew American to HHI a couple months ago, no drinks, not snacks, nothing......... I believe they would give you water if you asked.

Flew with Delta in August,

We bought a bottle of water, and soft drink for each of us, air side at each stop and took snacks along in the back pack... they did pass out small bottles of water and a few snacks in a sealed bag, on each leg of our flight, as well on the longest portion they passed stuff out at least twice.

No one in the middle seats...

On 1 leg every row was filled, but the middle seat were vacant... the other 3 legs, it was like staggered rows, no one behind us and no one next across the aisle...empty middle seats...

Sounds like you can only buy when they come by with the cart so don’t miss it. My brother just flew UA and confirmed the beverage cart came down the aisle but he didn’t remember if they were selling booze. Online seems to say they are.
