A breastfed baby eats more frequently than a bottle fed. Sometimes baby being on a schedule does not work within your own schedule. Also I think someone else mentioned it, but nursing doesn't just offer food, it offers comfort to an infant. So if the baby is teething or just not feeling well, they will want to nurse and they are not shy about letting everyone know

Yes urinating is natural but i'm not letting my baby pee in public... i'm letting my baby eat in public which ALL of us do..

Oh and we are up to at least page 19 with no lock

A baby latched onto a mother's breast does not equal exposing oneself, no matter how many times people argue that it does.

Oh boy, I have a 4 month old I'm nursing as I type this thread. Although I personally believe in privacy, and NO I have not nor do I plan to "whip out my ****s" at will - it really saddens me that so many people (especially women) see breast as se*ual objects. I think it's a beautiful to see women nursing their babies. It's the natural thing to do. Now, because I live in a world that see ****s as a something other than ‘bottles’ - I cover up.

I was wondering that too. I didn't breastfeed my kids, so I am not sure. My bottlefeed babies were.

My boys were all bottle fed but always on demand.

uh no breasts are NOT sexual objects... they play NO part in sex.. there are 2 parts used for sex.. if you dont know what they are ask your parents..

The children sitting on the floor in front are the show. The whole thing is Crush talking to these kids, so if you sit in the front, you are part of the show.

The mom might have been up front with a toddler too sacred to sit alone. In addition, you are only part of the show if Crush makes you part of the show. Crush probably had enough good sense to not bring it up. Can you imagine? "Hey human dudes! There is another way that turtle offspring and human offspring are different. Turtle moms dig a whole and lay their eggs and the offspring make it to the sea alone. Human moms ... um ... uh ... " Nope. Crush isn't going there .

why would you feed your baby in a toilet stall? No one said to sit on the john while you're bf'ing....I nursed my DD but did I whip it out everytime and let it all hang out entire time? Nope. Just curious, have any of you been in Turtle Talk? It is a small theater with benches and then a huge open area in the front where small children can sit and talk to Crush. So why would this mom be sitting in the front and not on one of the benches? The front is sort of a stage. The whole thing only lasts about 15 minutes. Would it not have been possible for her to wait or sit on one of the benches? Even if she had small children, you can easily see the children sitting in the front from the benches. Also how could the baby relax to eat on this "stage" in front of everyone?

That is a good point. I don't know why an adult would be on the floor, unless she thought the kid she was feeding wanted to participate.

I have seen parents on the floor with children who wanted to sit up front, but did not want to sit alone.

And I have three kids and medical background, so I am well aware of what two parts are used for sex. I guess you never kiss, so I guess lip are for talking and eating only? Oh and I would ask my parents but theyhave both recently passed away, but thanks for the suggestion.

You do realize there is a law in Florida that protects the mother's right to breastfeed her child in public??? You do realize that NO ONE can ask this mother to relocate to another location to feed her child??

Would you go up to a mother that is feeding her child with a bottle and tell her to not do that??? You can not control when your child gets hungry.

I have had alot of nasty looks and they are usually from women. Children are curious about what is going on, while other women get upset because their man is getting a "show".

It is my right to feed my child when my child is hungry. I refuse to feed in private, like it is something to be ashamed of. I do my best to cover myself, but I personally don't like eating with a blanket over my head, so why should I force my child to get hot an uncomfortable just because you don't like the way I'm raising, feeding my child?

Would you ask a woman that is giving her baby a bottle to "cover up"? No! But you want her to cover up so your precious little one, or husband, boyfriend, grandma, etc. doesn't see a breast.

Some shirts don't allow you to "cover up the breast" and it will leave it exposed. As long as the baby is latched, the baby's head is covering up the breast. If you don't like it, then don't look!

We should all just not wear shirts anymore. Ever. A baby might get hungry.

The real reason we have breasts is to breastfeed our young, but being in the medical field I'm sure you do really know that. WE have sexualized the breasts, as well as the lips and as well as other body parts

well then you consider lips to be sexual objects why shouldn't we cover those up as well? Both my parents are gone as well.. holidays suck with no family doesn't it? that's a whole other thread *hugs* to us who have lost our loved ones.

I agree. It is stupid to think breasts are not sexual. There is an entire magazine industry devoted to this as well as a film industry. Most people associate them more with sex than with breastfeeding. If not, why would breast implants even exist?

BTW, I am not against breastfeeding. I am just against moms not being discreet. If you don't want to cover your baby up (which I understand) go to somewhere it is quiet or more secluded or be discreet.
