No hip just spacer!!!!

Can anyone tell me what I can expect for dh, he had hip revision surgery last Tuesday (7/9) and because of infection it came out this week(7/16). Can anyone tell me what their experience was like in having no hip for 8-10 weeks?!!!!!!!
