No Good Deed Goes Unpunished- 6 days w/o motorcycles...but at least there's a pool!

Nice update! We are planning to go to Cape May dinner in April but as I do not eat seafod I am not really concerned. Aaron will be dissappointed by the dry clams I'm sure but he will get over it. My plans are made after months of agonizing over them and they are going to stay that way! And if you really believe that I will not touch my plans agail then I have some really nice property to sell.
But is all seriousness we will probably stick with it just to try it for ourlseves. I have not read many reviews on Cape May dinner so it was great to finally read one.
I would definitely say try it. The buffet is pretty big and there was a nice variety of stuff on it...most of it non-seafood. Oh, the ribs were pretty tasty, too. I realized while planning the trip & scouring the restaurant reviews that there are so many people with so many different tastes the only way to know if you're going to like or dislike something is to try it yourself. It was a nice, pleasant place to eat. Honestly I wasn't expecting divine clams & mussels because I can get that close to home so I wasn't disappointed. I just wanted to give a head's up in case anybody was ;) . There are just so many yummy places to eat while at WDW that I'd cross Cape May off of my gotta go back to list in favor of trying someplace else.

It is good to know the hint about getting to Yacht Club from Pop though because we are going to Yachtman's Steakhouse and Cape May and I am still writing out the transportation plans.
Getting there & back could not have been easier! Bus to DHS or Epcot, then walk to the boat dock and catch a boat to the Yacht Club. It's possible to walk from DHS to the Boarwalk & Beach club as there is a nicely lit & paved path leading straigh there from DHS but it was fun to take the boat.

I know that people complain about the Disney transportation but I was just loving it! I loved not having to worry about finding a parking spot, or getting lost, or finding the car again, or dealing with traffic or having to get gas. Yes we'd always give ourselves about an hour for travel time but it was no big deal. Maybe because we weren't trying to cram a million things into every day & just taking it easy? Actually the transport is one of the big selling points in my considering taking another trip to WDW. Even though we were up an running early & on the go all day not having to deal with driving helped to make this a truly relaxing vacation.

Plus it's nice to be able to have a cocktail or three and not have to worry :rotfl: .

Oh and by the way last night on a whim and your reccomendation I ordred those shoes you raved about. So if I do not like them I will hold you personally responsible :lmao: :lmao:
Either that or else I will just send them back.
Feel free to blame me :rotfl: . Oh I sure hope that they work out! I love them and wish that it was still warm enough to wear them I'm going to be living in them next summer for sure. Just don't forget to test drive them thoroughly first! (and to pack those blister bandaids ;) ).

Hi Nina,

Hope the camera works out OK :scared: I leave all that up to DH...I've only recently figured out how to transfer photos from my camera onto the computer, and I still need to have the instruction manual right next to me and no-one breathing near me while I do it! :rolleyes1

I'm not sure about taking the twins on Dinosaur, DS keeps saying he wants to ride it as does DH, I think they'll be freaked out....though if they start acting up they're definately going on! (I'm waiting on my nomination for mother of the year, any day now! :grouphug: )

I'm with you on the punching out kids who laugh at mine! DS decided over the summer he didn't want to wear his shorts cause some boy said his legs were skinny! I was all for chasing the kid down and drop kicking him a fair distance, but was talked out of it. Kids can be so nasty!

I've never been to Cape May for dinner - we tend to go for breakfast when the characters are there - I feel I relate better to 6-7 foot tall cartoon characters who can't speak than to 'humans'.

Just caught up. Loved the update. I too stayed at the Dolphin in the 90's on a business trip and didn't see much of the parks. Just 3 hours at Epcot that trip. I liked it so much that we spent our honeymoon at the same hotel.:lovestruc

Looking forward to your next update.

All I can say is that I'm very, very lucky that we took our trip when we did because everything promptly went to Hell upon our return. And have proceeded steadily downward. Things can always get worse so I'm trying to put on my happy face but it currently looks more like a rictus grin. At least I was able to get the pictures off of my camera & onto a disc so I will actually be able to show you guys some of them.

Hopefully I can manage an update later in the week, meanwhile I wanted to respond to some of you before I dash:

Oh I'm like that with this one & I still have no idea how I manage to get the photos off of the camera as every time it seems like I do something differently. My husband will only use his 35mm (it uses "filme") with all manner of lenses and light meters & who know what else whereas I'm a point and shoot kind of gal. But at least he just has to get his film developed & he'll have actual pictures to show for it rather than a spike in heart rate & blood pressure, mixed with a lot of curses.

The twins will probably be fine. You could always have daddy ride it first, alone, & then give the verdict on if it's too scary. Even William is talking about riding it again but then, he likes having the daylights scared out of him (the poor thing is forced to see me without makeup every morning after all :rotfl: ).

:rotfl: :rotfl: :rotfl: I thought I was the only person that felt that way!

Make that three of us!

I was delighted by everything about the Dolphin, plus it was my first visit to Florida & everyone was so NICE I just couldn't get over it. I was just disappointed that I wasn't able to drag my husband in to see it while we were at WDW.

OK, I've got to run now. Thanks for sticking with me. If nothing else this latest set of trials has helped me to make a killer Glowtini. I even found light up ice cubes at HomeGoods...obvioulsy a sign that I should be drinking more :rotfl: .
