No Foolin' Around challenge - Final Standings and Results!

Hi there, everyone. :sunny:

I find the challenges on this board to be really motivating, and now that the Valentine's Day challenge is complete - I need a new one! :teeth: I thought April Fool's Day would be a good end date, as that will be 6 weeks from yesterday.

So, what do you think? Are you ready to stop "foolin' around" :p and start making it happen? (Not to imply that others are fooling around here on WISH, it's just a silly title...) Then join the challenge! Post to this thread with your goal for the challenge (keep in mind it will be six weeks long) and look for the first check in thread next Thursday, and every Thursday until April 1.

(2/22/04) All right! This is awesome!!! Here's a list of all the participants, with their goals. Let me know if anything is incorrect, or if you want to change your goal.

I'm going to color code the names based on your progress (sounds silly, but why not) based on the WISH clippies: we all start with purple, then gold for 25%, green (platinum won't show up) for 50%, blue for 75%, and RED for GOAL!

Don't forget to check in with your first week's progress on Thursday (or whenever you check in) - I'll change the title of this post and move it to the top of the board, and just reply with your weigh-in. Remember, NO FOOLIN' AROUND! :crazy: Let's make it happen!

I love to do these challenges, so thanks April for coming up with a new one. I'm going to make my goal 10 lbs. With another 10lbs of fat gone forever I'll be able to claim my 85lb clippie :hyper:
 
I'm in, this will be my first challenge. I am not starting WW for 3 more weeks (until I have my 6 week checkup), but until then I am focusing on drinking my water and lite exercise at least every other day. I will be happy with losing 5 pounds by April 1st. That will put me 5 pounds less than my preprenancy weight and give me my first clippie!!!

i'm in! i've never done a challenge before, so may as well join now! :hyper:

if it's 6 weeks, i'd like to set a modest goal of 5 pounds (i'm a slow loser), but i'd like to start from whatever i weigh in at tomorrow (my normal weigh in day). so i'll edit this post tomorrow morning for my "goal weight".

how exciting, i hope this helps keep me on track :bounce:

is that okay? or will i have to weigh in on thursdays as well?

edit: ok, my start weight is 133, so 5 pounds would put me at 128. i hope i can do it!!

I forgot to mention earlier that my goal is 12 pounds. :p

bubie2.5, how many pounds are you away from 25? I've found with these challenges it's easiest to track progress with regards to the amount of weight you want to lose. Then, when everyone checks in, they can report "2/10" if they've lost 2 pounds, etc. Are you 10 pounds away, or less? Just let me know. And good luck, of course! :D

marsh0013, 5 pounds sounds great. You can still keep your challenge goal at 5 pounds, and start from tomorrow's weigh in. And you can use whatever weigh-in date you like (I'll be using my weigh-ins on Tuesdays), and post it to the check-in thread whenever you like (Thursdays, Saturdays, or whenever). It will be kinda like the WISH weekly check-in thread: it gets posted on Sunday, but people check-in during the week as they weigh in.

I'm planning to try and keep everything in this thread, just changing the title and stats once a week, so I'll do my best to keep track of everyone's progress, whenever they check in!
 
Count me in too. I want to set my goal for 6 lbs gone. That will make me meet my first mini goal of 10% body-weight gone!(21 lbs total) Then I can look forward to the next mini goal. I was in a stall for a few weeks, so I don't want to set my goal too high and get depressed if things slow down again.

I love challenges, I did not make my goal for Valentine's Day, so I will keep this goal reasonable. I would like to lose 6 pounds, I need 5 to get to Onederland so 6 will make me feel even better.

I'm in! I would like to stop fooling around and get back to serious weight loss. These 1/2 and 1 pound per week losses are fine but I need to kick it up a notch. I plan on taking off 10 more pounds, that sounds reasonable and keeping my "treats" to once per week. That's going to be a tough one for me because I can have dessert every night with SBD but I think it's slowing me down.

Okay, to recap: 10 pounds and a once a week treat for me by challenge end on April 1! This is going to be fun and it will be even better doing this together with my WISH buddies!
 
I'm in too. My goal is 6 lbs. I figure a pound a week is all I can lose. My goal will get me a 15 lb. clippie.
 
I'm soo glad there's another challenge to keep me motivated!! Count me in!

I'm gonna go for a 10 lb loss and, hope I'm not being overanxious.

Count me in! I need a little motivation right now. I am really feeling "fat" this week and I hate it.

I am going to reach the goal my Dr. set by April 1st. I will lose 12 pounds! I am not sure if it is my goal yet but it is a goal!!!
 
The challenge sounds like fun! I'm a VERY slow loser but I'm going to try for 5 pounds. I haven't lost any for a month now and I need to be motivated. Count me in too!

I think an official "challenge" may be just what I need to get myself back on track! I was off to a decent start, (1.2 pounds in week one) then "life" happened, and a multitude of things caused me to stumble. I haven't gained, but I haven't lost anymore either. So lets see......6 weeks? If I stick to my plan, realistically I think I can do a 5 pound loss (another slow loser here....)
 
This will be my first challenge!! YIPPEE! I am going to set myself a modest goal of 7 lbs which will put me a little past my 10 lb clippie. This will be fun!
