We are going to DLR from 21st-28th September and I just looked on the DL calender for friday 25th and there is no fireworks scheduled! Why?? We planned to be in DL on the weekend of 25th- 27th so we'd be able to see the fireworks and now they are not showing them at all :( I thought the fireworks were always on weekends during the non peak season. There are fireworks scheduled on the three weekends prior to the 25th so why not on this friday? Crossing my fingers that they have just forgotten to add it to the calender or at least hoping they will show them on Saturday 26th!

Is the 25th the first day for the Halloween Time? Maybe that has something to do with it? They were going to add the special Halloween fireworks show.

Yes that is the start of the Halloween season. The Halloween fireworks should be starting that weekend. Maybe they aren't putting it on the schedule until it gets closer and they know they will be ready on time?

Yikes-we'll be there that weekend, too. I hope they'll put some fireworks on during our stay since we don't get Fantasmic or ELP.

I just checked the schedule. It looks like they are showing Fantasmic on the 25!!!!!! :cool1:

I had read all those reports stating that it would be down for two months! Woo hoo - hopefully it's not a mistake!

If they are changing the fireworks show for Halloweentime, I 'd imagine that it takes some time to make the switchover. If I remember correctly, weren't the fireworks down for about 2 weeks (so really, one weekend) when they switched from RDCT to Magical?

I can't imagine them taking them down for 2 weeks at the beginning of a 6 week season. Hopefully it they can get things switched over mid-week.

I am hoping that they are in a wait and see status and will add the Halloween fireworks to the schedule once they know they are working. Our last day is the 25th and we were hoping to get to see 2 different shows during our stay.

It's possible that they are using the 25th as the "soft opening" for the fireworks, so even if they are not on the schedule it's possible that they will still go off. I can't imagine them making changes that would require 2 weeks, since these are so seasonal it would make sense for them to do it during the week. I would guess that they are just giving themselves that extra day, just in case.
