I have not posted in a while but I have a question that I’ve been trying to ignore. My sister and brother-in-law wanted me to ask guest services about my niece’s no expiration ticket. It’s been almost 2 years since she passed away and I told them I would but every time I go…I just can’t. Even now, asking this question I just want to throw up. So I guess I was hoping to gain a little insight before our next trip because I already know I’m going to be a wreck when those words leave my mouth.

Please accept my condolences on the passing of your niece - I had 1 day left of an old 10 day non-expiring pass that I had lost (but did have a photo of the front and back) that I wasn’t sure what to do with. I took the pictures to GS at Disney Springs and they exchanged it for a 1 park hopper ticket…this was just before dated tickets.

OP, I'm so sorry about your niece. This must be heartbreaking for you.

As far as the ticket goes, you can call and find out what's what, so you don't have to wait until you're there, although since I'm not sure what you want to do with the ticket, you might have to wait until you're there to do whatever that is:
WDW Ticketing at
(407) 566-4985 (option 5) [note: option 5 info is from 2018]
Hours: 8:30am-4:30pm ET Mon-Sat

I had a somewhat thorny ticket issue a few years ago and no one at WDW Guest Services had the correct answer, despite their telling me that their information was "infallible." However, the people at the ticketing phone number helped me out.

Good luck, and again, my condolences.

I'm sorry for your family's loss. My wife and I had a few non-expiration days on a few cards. We went to guest services at Disney Springs and added them to our account. What we didn't know until after it was done, is that they keep the cards. That was disappointing for us since one of them was from our honeymoon. We didn't know and didn't know to ask beforehand.

I don’t know why I hadn’t considered calling. Probably because I want to lock these thoughts away and avoid it entirely. Also, I’m not her parent and even though her ticket shows up in my app, it’s attached to my sister’s account. I’m not even sure how to approach this question as a non parent family member. Thank you for your help!

I would call and explain, even if you aren't the ticket holder they should be able to guide you and help you navigate a situation no family member should have to handle.

I'm so sorry. I'm sure guest services would understand why you are asking on her parents' behalf.
