No DVC free parking

I don't see why they couldnt reclaim the parking lots for something else and then build a parking structure not controlled by DVC dues and charge for it.

Haven't they already taken back things like that lounge at BWV and Towl at BLT?

From my reading of documents those were commercial areas, not common areas. Or at least TOTWL at BLT is. I haven't reviewed as much for BWV.

I don’t know anything about the BWV lounge but TOWL is explicitly excluded in the BLT offering

The public areas guaranteed at BLT are a pool, 2 hot tubs, 2 water slides, and a sun deck, plus access to CR facilities so long as they exist.

ETA the shuffleboard and bocce ball courts are actually also listed in the declaration, so in theory they’re irreplaceable.

so yeah dvc can at their own will stop us from parking

I have no dog in this fight, but I don't see why they would do that. It seems possible, but it would just be a massive expense for them, and in exchange they would get bad PR and they would have to reduce our dues by a decent amount if the common area parking lot went away.

The reference to designated areas is that some part of the parking lot may be excluded from our use for the exclusive use of the valet operator who also does not share the income derived from offering their service. We owners must park in the areas designated for us to park.

Valet parking is after the comma with an extra bonus of “and” as such this is just an addition to the clause allowing dvc the ability to limit our rights to parking with the bonus of them collecting and keeping all valet fees lest we think it should offset dues

relatively unprofitable in the Miami market, lost the virgin deal due to covid, laid off their entire staff and now universal are blocking the train to Disney.
