No DVC Discount on Cinderella's Royal Table?

I booked a reservation for Cinderella's Royal Table online this morning and noticed afterward I didn't see the DVC discount applied. So I called member services this evening and after putting me on hold, the CM came back and basically said CRT is not eligible for a DVC discount, only an AP discount. I mentioned I was literally looking at it on the Members Benefit page right in that moment - still listed there at 10% off. And the attitude was basically "oh well". Does this seem right? Do they frequently advertise benefits on the website that are no longer offered? (I'm still a relatively new DVC member.) It's a pretty expensive meal so I was really looking forward to the discount! I have not tried calling back to talk with someone else, but I did send an email to Member Services in the meantime.

For prepaid events typically you have to request to get a refund for the discount day of. They don’t apply the discount when booking. At the very least this was the case a couple years ago for CRT and just last year for the Keys to the Kingdom tour.

Thanks, that makes a lot more sense and hopefully that's the case! That's more along the lines of what I would have expected the CM to say, so hopefully I just got someone misinformed.

I vaguely remember something like this 10 years ago last time I went there…
not sure why either
because the CRT cast is not going to know to do the refund, and a supervisor is going to need to be called …

I forgot to check but I just looked at the Chase app and I can confirm that I did get the discount refunded the day of our visit in June. It was worth it for our little one.

I'm not sure if this is always the case but if your "princess" happens to choose to dress like one of the princesses who are visiting they can get a lot of special attention. Snow white was so nice to our daughter and gave her lots of time to talk to her about their dresses and such. The other princesses were great too, but it was definitely special when she saw how my daughter chose to dress like her



They also let our son get one of the desserts off the adult menu as he really wanted to try the "clock strikes" one and they were happy to let him have that.

Thank you for the confirmation! No idea why the CM wouldn't have just told me I had to ask for the discount in person rather than saying it doesn't exist. And what a fantastic picture - our little one is definitely going to be dressing up for this experience!

When you meet your server, let him/her know that you have the DVC discount. They will apply it and in a few weeks, you will see the refund on the CC you used to prepay when you booked.

We went Aug 11th and the credit was applied Aug 18th. Have fun!!

FWIW the list of discounts and benefits on the Web site is frequently out of date or lists things that don't even exist any more.

We've been to CRT 2 times, and each time we had to tell our server that we were AP/DVC, and we received a credit for the discount on our CC within a week or two.
