I needed a studio for one night in any of the WDW DVC resorts for 10/20 after our cruise. And EVERYTHING is sold out - studio, 1BR, 2BR and GV's!

I know the Wine Festival is on - but this is incredible - and its a Sunday in October!!

That is also Fall Break for many schools. It has also become a very popular time to go to WDW- just like the 1st 2 weeks in Dec.

Good Luck finding what you need!!

When I made reservations for 2003 a few days ago, the Member Services CM told me that the remainder of 2002 at the the DVC resorts was pretty much fully booked up.

Keep in mind that after the horrific events of 09/11/2001, many people cancelled or postponed their plans, banked their points, or delayed making reservations. So now people are scrambling to use their DVC points before they expire. Those who wait too long will get nothing.

I was there last year for that weekend in Oct-it is the Golf Tournament -it was disappointingly CROWDED...by 10:30 there were 45 minutes to more waits on most rides at the MK...Disney has successfully promoted Oct as a more popular time--the proof is in their pricing...it used to be Value Season--it is now Regular.

If I had to say what could DVC do better for us it would be to notify us what is going on in the parks whether its DVC related or not.

It weird but unless you a connection with a particular event you have to guess when it will be then schedule your time accordingly...and for me it isn't just the DVCunit...its airfare as well.

Doubletrouble, we'll be there for the golf tournament. That may be why it is booked and it is a popular time. The calendar in back of the member guidebook gives some general info on what's happening at the "world" during particular months, but I don't think it gives specific dates. That may help in your planning.

We just got our confitmation for a studio in Vero from December 29-Jan3. No wait list, no problems. Also got Hilton Head 2 BR for the Sun-Fri for the week after Easter 2003. Were waitlisted for only 2 days and it came through.

Looks like there are good things still available at the 7 month window. (Vero was only 3 months!)

Can't wait to pack and go home!

The American Academy of Ophthalmology is having its annual meeting in Orlando starting 10/20...it's a pretty big convention...i think about 40,000 people all told...this may contribute to difficulty on this date....that's why i made resie at 11 month window....i'm going to the meeting, that's how i know...
