We are planning a trip for 12/9-12/15, and i just called Dining to make ADRs, the CM asked me if I had my tickets and dining and I told him, that as of right now we have a room only, but I am hoping that a package discount will come out sometime in the fall. We went last year during the same time frame, and had a discounted package that came out sometime in September. The CM told me that there will be no discounts in December, because it is holiday time, and they are really busy. He said that October, November and December are the busiest, even more busy than the summer, and there will be no discounts. I just thanked him and told him I would keep what I have right now. Could he be right, or does he not know what he is talking about?

With F&W and the Holidays .They might be right .

Maybe thats why they are starting the Million Dreams come true in Oct to reward the big crowds.

We went to WDW around that same time last year (12/7-12/12) and we got a discounted package. And it was not nearly as busy as our trip in early August.

He's was full of it and "presuming". Sorry .. but true.

They usually come out with something that is good for Nov/Dec excluding Thanksgiving week and Christmas week.

We had a discounted package for our stay in Mid-December last year ... you just had to check out by 12 / 21 I think it was.

Not a whopper of a discount ... but something.

The way he said it, was like he was imlying that I didn't know what I talking about, when I told him that we had a discount during the same week last year. I know there might not be any discounts, but lately everytime I call Disney reservations or dining I feel like they are trying sell me more and more stuff. Do CMs work on commissions now?

LOL.
I would have asked the CM why the first 3 weeks of December is VALUE season if it is such a crowded time to go.

I think you just got a CM who had no clue what they were talking about. In most cases, these people know a lot less about WDW than DIS'ers. Even if there weren't going to be any discounts, that CM would have no way of knowing that.

We had an AP discount last December for CSR for $88.00 a night...during Christmas week...the absolute BUSIEST week of the year! I think, if you're willing to be vigilant about checking these boards every day, you might just get lucky! As soon as I saw this special price, I ordered an AP and changed my reservation on the spot.

Last Dec. we went to WDW twice. We stayed at the WL in late Nov./early Dec. with a BRP (AP) discount and then we stayed at YC from Dec. 25-30 with the BRP room discount.

We have been to WDW early Dec. each year since 1992 and have received a good room discount each year since 1995. We didn't know about room discounts the first 2 years. It has been called Jolly Holidays, AP, etc..

I will say the crowds have gotten larger since the first Dec. 1992 trip. (except 9/11 year)

we stayed last year 12/24-1/1 for 121.53 water view @cbr tax included. now my point. we are going in Oct. and have spoken to several cms at grand gatherings while booking adrs. all have advised me oct. is busiest time of year and they are booked up. Last week when one asked if he could do anything else i said no unless you could get ap rates out early and boy he was quick to reply that nothing would be out for fall and I should not expect anything past free dining and esp ap rates. he was told nothing past august for a while. I asked about adding aaa to my reservation and he said he could not do that without a # and I should call my local aaa office if I was interested in aaa but he thought I would be out of luck there too :sad2: :sad2: I really don't know what to think anymore.

I need to ask.... What is AP's? (annual pass)??? ESP rates????? Just curious, do they ever offer free dining any time other than September? :confused3
