No discount for this Chick!

Candlelight Processional doesn't start until December. And I though Osborne didn't finish until just after Thanksgiving. I know almost all the decorations for parks and resorts go up by the second week of November.

Don't forget the Parade taping the first weekend of December. That always draws a huge crowd to MK. But as well, last year had some nasty rain showers that weekend which extended the parade taping longer than it should have.

CP starts day after Thanksgiving as usual this year, but WDW announced that Osborne was starting early again this year - same day as MVMCP (11/8)

And crowds that week last year were nonexistent. We waltzed into EP at 2-3pm one afternoon and Soarin had a 5 minute standby wait! That's the same week we rode TSM 4 times in one day - only once with FP and never with more than a 30 minute wait.

We had a similar experience when we went during January once. We felt like we had the park to ourselves! That was one of our best DW trips ever!!!

The 2-3 weeks after T-day used to be our regular weeks up until last year and we saw it go from really low crowds to more like low-moderate. Reports from '09 sound like it got even a little busier. We never waited more than 20 minutes for anything except TSM, Soarin, TT (the biggies) but we also come armed with a good bit of WDW knowledge and are super flexible so we can bypass a long line and come back later.

Not sure what this year will bring, but we're gonna find out! :santa:

Nowadays you more the less have to be armed with lots of WDW knowledge. It never ceases to amaze me at how many folks show up thinking that it's going to be a cakewalk. I've been visiting DW since '92, and eighteen years later there are still lessons to be learned with every return trip that I take. I'm with ya on the bypassing part!

It'll all work out in the end. After all, we'll be at FW for cryin' out loud!!!

Yeah, it'll be interesting to see how that goes!

Actually the rest of MK is just fine while they're taping - it's just Main St/hub that are a nightmare.

The trick if you go in is to do whatever you want in the other parts of the park and get out BEFORE they release the masses from the taping into the park.

We generally just steer clear of MK on taping days. It doesn't effect anything else. :thumbsup2
