I was keeping my fingers crossed - I have yet to see a Ding for Seattle to Orlando ever!

I know what you mean. I had been waiting for a ding for our return flight for 4/8. Finally the other day I found a reasonable rate with Delta and booked with them.

Even worse, Southwest is no longer flying out of Spokane to Orlando! Now I have to come up with plan B. :headache:

I'm on the other end of the US and I have noticed that I rarely (if ever) get a Ding rate to come your way. I would love to come out to Seattle, some of the CA cities, but I don't recall ever seeing a ding for these cities.

I guess they regionally target,

Yep...the only Dings we ever get is Boise, Spokane, or Sacramento. Only once I've seen a PDX-MCO but the one-way fares were more than just booking through another airline.

Have you ever had a DING from Detroit to Seattle?

I booked our airfare for July and paid $1000 for the 6 of us. Which is not bad because flying within Canada from Toronto to Vancouver (which is where we want to end up) was going to be $2800!

A nice DING would be nice.

Oooh, this is bad news for us since we're moving to Seattle and we are DVC owners. I'm already prepared for the longer flights but was hoping to find some deals. We're spoiled now with a two-hour flight for (usually) under $150 RT.

But all the Seattle sunshine's gonna make up for it, right? :rotfl:

DVCTiff: Could you have found anywhere further away to move to? :teeth:

For the most part, there are usually fares available to MCO for under $250 R/T. We usually can catch one right at $200 if we keep our eyes and ears open. Our original plan when we bought DVC was to alternate between WDW and DL...that hasn't happened because most of the time it is cheaper to fly across the country to Florida than it is to go to California.

FWIW, the rainy season is starting to wind down a bit! :umbrella:

I live in Seattle and have seen Dings to MCO, but they were not very good deals. Just a little bit below the normal price.
