No Closing Cost for Add on's

Just read the monthly e-mail update and it says DVC has gotten lots of calls from members and that there are No closing cost for current members and no plans to start them.

Your title says no closing costs for add-ons. Does it say anything about closing costs for new contracts?

The email is silent on new contracts. The email text reads as follows:

Members don't pay closing costs
Disney Vacation Club leaders have received questions from Members regarding closing costs on the purchase of Ownership Interests in Disney Vacation Club Resorts.

Vacation Magic is pleased to report that Members who purchase additional Ownership Interests in Disney Vacation Club Resorts currently do not pay closing costs on those transactions, and no changes to that policy are planned at this time.

Granny- I think it may only apply to add on's but I'm c/p the actual verbiage from the email that we got, so you can judge it's intent for yourself.

I would presume the terms "members" and "additional" used in the quote below implies that persons buying points for the first time (non-members) would be subject to closing costs, since non-members can't really purchase "additional" points. The bolding is mine:

"Vacation Magic is pleased to report that Members who purchase additional Ownership Interests in Disney Vacation Club Resorts currently do not pay closing costs on those transactions, and no changes to that policy are planned at this time."

Interesting, isn't it. By coming out with this "rumor squashing" in its official publication with that wording, it's almost a way of starting a new rumor that closing costs for new members is coming soon. (So hurry up and buy now!)

I did get the same e-mail. MEMBERS do not pay closing cost for
ADDITIONAL points. Very clear to me.
