No clock available from housekeeping

Forgive me as I haven't read all 4 pages of replies so I'm not sure if someone has already said, the clocks are on sale for something crazy like $5 in the cast member shop behind AK

And if they pulled out of the Poly like some have reported then they are current connectors for those with iphones. I'm surprised they're selling them since they otherwise feel that clocks are out and unused by anyone. :sad2:

Of course I can buy a clock. I can buy a clock at Target. Maybe you SHOULD read the thread first.

 They were just reporting that the clocks that were being discussed in this thread as being removed are available for sale to CM's. If you were a CM you wouldn't have to go to Target.

Yeah maybe YOU should take a step back and think before you type. I was commenting that they are removing them and putting them for sale for a crazy low price. Not suggesting that you should go buy one from there OR anywhere else. I was adding to the discussion that I know where they have gone to.

Thanks for the information. I did wonder what they did with them after they yanked them out of the rooms.

Give it 5 more years LOL

No garbage pickup ( just walk it down to the trash room ).

It's coming I tells ya.

I go to the trash room now with stuff instead of leaving food scraps in the room

Please accept my sincere apology. I did not read your post that way.

We stayed at OKW on Dec 12 and we had an alarm clock in the bedroom. We also stayed at the Poly DVC on Dec 18 and also had an alarm clock. We stayed at Poly in June for a week and didn't have the alarm clock and it was aggravating. Was happy to see them this time. Maybe they had negative feedback on it.

Maybe they actually are putting them back but I doubt it. They've never corrected anything they screwed up before, unless, of course, we as members ended up paying for it... AGAIN. :D

They certainly weren't in the studios at BLT The first week of December, at least not in mine.

What no clock i thought that was a given esp at Disney prices whats next one of those mini bar fridges.

Guess to be certain make a request with resevation.

Actually, they did correct something. Remember when they removed coffee mugs and drinking glasses from studios a few years ago, and replaced them with styrofoam?

I can verify that a clock was still in our HH area studio at OKW on Dec. 31, 2015 last week. Hope they stay there, too! We were only there one night for NYE and unfortunately did not realize our microwave was broken until we were ready to use it in the morning before checkout. We reported it so hopefully the next person has a microwave that works.

I'm always surprised how long these threads go on without anyone mentioning my biggest complaint about clock-gate. Am I the only one with kids who don't have smartphones yet? Mine use a clock to know if they should stay in bed and go back to sleep or get up yet. My 7 and 10 year don't have smart phones yet, but they are early risers and since they were 3-4 yrs old they have understood that unless you're sick or it's an emergency you don't get up until the first number on the clock is 6 or higher..

We were in BLT the first week of December and I was unable to get clocks despite my request for them.

I'm as connected to my smart phone as anyone, but aside from the kid issue which is my biggest reason for wanting clocks, I still prefer glancing at one at night. I wear a watch everyday, but don't usually wear it at night and even when I do I can't read it at night. It's not one that lights up as I've never needed that before. Every home and hotel I've ever stayed in has clocks. I also really like having a clock in the bedroom so that when I'm getting up and dressed and ready I can GLANCE at the time to see that I'm on target for when we need to go somewhere.

We stayed at Saratoga Springs from Dec. 19-28 and had an alarm clock in our 1 bedroom.

Ok, I'll chime in here. I wear a watch, but not to bed, can't read it anyways at night because I'd have to put my glasses on and turn on the light to read it. I know that I can call down for a wake up call, but I have experienced no wake up calls even when requested. I need a clock as it's easier to read at night without glasses. If the backlighting is too bright, a wash cloth works and is easily lifted to read the clock. I always TURN OFF my smart phone when I go to bed. I couldn't use the alarm or clock features on it anyways, cause I wouldn't be able to read it.

Who's idea was it to put in the iHome radio/docking stations for apple products anyways. I use android products and I couldn't use it anyway. The one apple product I do own, wouldn't work with it as well.

All I need is a simple $5 alarm clock. It's based on the KISS principle, Keep It Simple Stupid.

Other resorts are reporting that clocks are being removed so IMO it's only time until they all removed. There are clock apps for phones and iPads, we just leave our iPad standing up by the TV, the time is correct and the alarm doesn't go off unexpectedly.

:earsboy: Bill

I took to unplugging the disney bedside clocks years ago & bring my own, too many random wakeup alarms in middle off night courtesy of the prior guest. Yes, I am always too excited to make sure the alarm is off the first night.:o

Most who cruise likely have an alarm clock. Love mine, looks like 'big ben' old school type. Runs on batteries and has a fully illuminated face that you can adjust from no light to bright if u want a night light of sorts.

We bring iphones and at least a ipad, kindle, ipod along with cords/surge protector. Battery clock frees up the bedside plug. Majority of non-disney resorts have caught up and providing multiple charging docks. The rehab'd rooms that have a night stand at RPH-Universal are perfect!

As for wearing watches, I feel naked without one as do my 20-something kids. For travel fond of Citizen eco ones that are waterproof enough to snorkel and fashionable enough to wear to wear to a formal dinner. Unfortunately, they don't have that handy glow-in-the dark Timex dial feature, darn it lol.

Actually, they did correct something. Remember when they removed coffee mugs and drinking glasses from studios a few years ago, and replaced them with styrofoam?

That happened when there was a story on one of the TV news shows (like 20/20) had a report that the glasses were not being washed between guests, they were just being wiped out. The 1 bedrooms and up have dishwashers so that was not an issue but they needed to find a way to properly sanitize the glasses in the studios. So they had Styrofoam for awhile.
