:sad2: This is heartbreaking! I can't imagine the reasoning? We loved LTT and it is one of my very favorites. Having them dressed in Colonial attire was so charming and it was some of the best interaction we had.

Our family certainly agrees. I have a cherished picture of my DDs with the characters on Christmas Eve 2005. We went to get away from blue tarps and had the most magical time highlighted by our Christmas Eve Dinner with the characters at LTT.

I agree. We have gone every year for quit a while. We will go the last character time for us in December. I think we may switch to lunch after that. I'll sure miss the costumes, great atmosphere, and multiple visits to the table.

What were they thinking?:confused3 :confused3 :sad2:

We are also sad!:sad2: We love this. I think the menu is staying the same. I think we are going to go to Tony's instead. We are planning a trip for next year.

Regarding the menu - word is that the menu (and price) will remain the same.

As far as what you can do. You can write Disney's Guest Communications to express your concern.

There were several petitions that were going on, I found a few of them by Googling it

I think that the best thing to do is to write and to talk with your wallet and don't go if you want to see them back. Disney is a business and not having characters is likely based on revenue. If they still fill the tables without the characters, they may be less likely to change.

We went to the LTT this summer and noticed a significant decline in the quality of the food served. We have already decided we won't be back.

I cannot imagine that this food venue will survive in that form with the same pricing, no characters and mediocre food.

I agree- we hve never been and are desperately trying for our upcoming trip. Of course, no luck:sad2: I really wanted my kids to experience it. It looks like fun.

LTT has been the best character dining experience we've had with the characters coming to the table at least twice. We've been four times, each time before a party at the MK andd it's a great start to the evening. Believe it or not, LTT losing it's characters in '09 was one of the large motivators for us to go back in December. We wanted to eat there one last time with the characters. I agree with others, I just can't possibly imagine the reasoning.

Our family TOTALLY agree's. IT WAS a FAVORITE, I have NO IDEA what we'll do next trip. I am SO OVER crystal palace, been there done that and really didn't love it at all.

We'll probably jump on the monorail and jump over to POLY to hit Kona Cafe because the food is AMAZING, though no characters!

I agree. LTT dinner has been one of my favorites. I really am going to miss it. :(

1) Let's look at it another way.
2) There are lots of complaints about TOO MANY character meals.
3) In MK, the only choice is Tony's for a sit down non-character. *
4) I think this is a good move, even if it is more cost-cutting than relief.
5) For those who want a quieter/relaxed dining experience, non-character is good.

* OK, so The Plaza is non-character, but it is a sandwich shop not restaurant.
