Ugh! Just wrote a long detailed post and somehow it didn't post! Anyway, last 4 days were No Spend days so that gives me 6 out of 15. I'm only in until the 23rd 'cause DH and I are going to New Orleans, so it's gonna get bumpy! I did notice that I do a lot of $1 to $15 spending on DS. Gotta work on that. Stay strong everyone

1/09/10 : $3.70 Hardee's and $1.06 donuts

1/10/10: long work day $3.57 Wendy's, $2.25 dairy mart (newspaper and snacks) and $1.44 dairy mart (coffee and a snack)

1-12-10 $148.00 from food money. I finally got myself together and ordered my seeds, new strawberry plants and onion plants. This does seem like a lot but it does provide us just about enough veggies for the whole year. Also the strawberries I only need to replace about every 4 years and this is the year to replace the bed. Last year everything cost me about $100. more but I started saving my own seeds last year and saved this much. So this money is coming out of the food budget. I'm not sure if my goals for this month are too much with regards to the food budget. We'll see. :confused3

I'm seriously behind in updating, but I've been keeping track of the budget still! As much as I've been trying to avoid spending any unnecessary money, I ordered DD a Christmas ornament for the upcoming year. Each year I buy both of my kids an engraved ornament, and I was mailed a $20 certificate that I earned that expires soon. Since Christmas is on clearance, I saved at least $30 on something that I would buy anyways. Not too shabby :)

Went to Best Buy today to get my Mom a new tv as hers was on it's last breath. It is not counted in this budget as it came out of the savings she has for replacing electronics and appliances. Also went to Giant Eagle. Was not planning on it by they had some amazing BOGO sales on meat and we are out of the ones that were on sale. I also stocked up on snacks I can take to class with me which is so much cheaper and healthier than getting them out of the vanding machine. Also bought toliet paper and kleenex.
