Here's what August looks like so far for me:
Spent: $1,347.29 Left: -$652.71
Chase Disney Visa offered us a $66/night at Hilton Head, I booked us for two nights in early November but I decided to cancel it because there are just a lot of things we're spending on right now, and we have the big family trip in early Dec to WDW anyway, so that's on my to-do list for today to cancel. It would be nice to check out the beach in Nov, but I feel like I need to dial it down a bit with the spending.
It was
so alluring-the points rate for Hilton Head with DVC is 40, which equates to about $400 on a Saturday night for a studio

, the idea of getting it for $66-I was like, oh that's such a good deal! But it's really not in the budget overall (add food and gas for that long weekend), so regretfully I'm going to have to let it go.
Now if Disney could have given that rate out for early October, I think I would have shuffled other things around because we can still go to the beach in bathing suits and swim in Oct in GA. No biggie, though.
Seriously thinking about designing a "No Buy" logo...
Oh, hey, about the eating out costs-we have really embraced the "water with lemon" ordering, we all do it automatically, now. It saves us an average of $10 whenever we eat out, the kids don't get spazzy from the sugar, and it's really good for DH's and my waistline (esp. DH who tended to drink 2 or 3 sodas with a meal). We don't drink soda at home, and the kids always ask for extra lemons and enjoy squeezing them all into the water

, so it's entertainment for them...
