yes indeed, in looking back it seems that I did infact lose a day somewhere along the line. I feel confident that it was a ZERO spend day, but I can't say with total confidence. Bummer!

I was just so sick of not being able to buy ANYTHING that we wanted. That being said, we now have $500 more dollars in debt. I'm ashamed.

Dont be too hard on yourself. I was sharing with a friend how I'm trying to NOT spend money & how the mall got to me....she told me that doing nice things for myself "fed my soul" and she is right!
I tell myself no a LOT, so a few purchases aren't going to be the death of me. Besides, the things i bought actually made me happy

tomorrow is another day! sometimes a splurge is needed.

You have no idea how good it felt to buy clothes for myself for the first time in months! The last time I went out and bought clothes (besides undershirts) for myself was August...I guess it was deserved! Thanks for making me feel better!

I am disappointed to be posting these recent purchases on here, but I need to be held accountable!

As you can see this weekend was horrible as far as spending goes. We spent a total of $500.08 that we didn't have cash to purchase so it went on credit. I was just so sick of not being able to buy ANYTHING that we wanted. That being said, we now have $500 more dollars in debt. I'm ashamed.

I'm sorry, it's depressing sometimes. I think watching those around us and watching things on TV we are made to feel like we should be able to buy new clothes when we need them or a treat like a video game for ourselves when we want it. We are "worth it". But then the bill comes an we can't pay it.

It doesn't really matter if we should be able to buy something, the truth is if we don't have the money, we shouldn't, which you know, and thats why you're ashamed. You might want to try budgeting a certain amount every month for a video game and new clothes. You should never be budgeting more than you are making but maybe you could pay off debt more slowly to allow some indulgances and try to avoid a "binge". Whats done is done, pick yourself up and try again. The first step is owning up and being accountable,by posting your spending you are doing this. So good job!

So yesterday's target ad advertised the New Giada cookwear on sale and a few weeks ago I had printed some coupons for money off of a bakeware set and the ten piece pots and pans. Well we had some money set aside for it as we need new cookware. Well with the coupons and the free Giada at home DVD that came free with the pots and pans we saved a total of $125.68 and only paid $111.23 for all of it. Pretty darn good. I am not counting it towards today's spending as we had the money set aside.

I will however count the gas I bought and the lunch meat I bought at the deli.

I saw this years ago and have said "if I ever get rich, I'm taking DD to see this, even if we have to fly somewhere to do it." The show is coming back to Chicago in the fall.

I got two tickets, main floor/center/on the aisle (row 15) for the night of my birthday.

What a great spend. I haven't had a latte, rented a movie, or bought new socks all month but when the magic moment happens- - -.
