NO Bus to MK from WL

Has anyone been to the WL since the the transportation has changed: bus from WL to TTC then monorail or boat it..How's the commute?? Is it still worth staying at WL? I always plan a summer vacation and the TTC is pack w/day goers more then any other season...and I'm staying on site and I feel like I'm being throw to the wolfs....Please advice if the stay is still magical! well, unless someone on site knows differently..

at this time, the bus goes directly between MK/WL/FW. i just called the operator who initially told me it goes to the TTC. when i asked when this started, she called dispatch for me and came back to tell me she was malinformed, the bus does in fact go directly to MK.

there was a period of time last year when they were renovating the bus stops, where the bus temporarily went to TTC, but that's been changed back for some time.

We were there Feb. 3-9 and the bus did indeed go from WL to MK. So unless this is a new change it may be wrong. However, while getting the bus to MK, a bus for TTC did arrive which I thought was strange, so maybe they were running both buses for awhile. Guess we'll find out.

I'm very sorry that you got wrong information.

There still is a bus from MK to WL. The MK Loadzone is #1 and the loadzone at WL is also #1. The MK bus does not go to FW.

There is no bus from the TTC to WL, there is no bus from the TTC to any resort (except off site/SOG and they are not Disney buses)

Have you taken the boat from WL to MK? It's a nice, peaceful ride.

Not to stir the pot but my Spring 2007 DVC newsletter says that:

"Disney Transportation bus service from Disney's Wilderness Lodge now goes to the Transportation and Ticket Center, rather than traveling directly to the Magic Kingdom Park. Boat service, however, continues to be available to Disney's Wilderness Lodge Guests traveling to the Magic Kingdom Park"

Maybe the buses will go to both? Either way we're still staying at the VWL b/c the boat service is such a nice way to get to MK. We find it pretty relaxing and better than the buses.

i dunno, but i can tell you it wouldn't be the first time a disney publication printed something untimely or incorrect. i can't remember the exact details but i believe it was 'disney magazine' that printed something months (maybe years) out of date and had to retract it in a later issue after causing a minor panic.

If there has been a change, no one told us drivers. We are still doing the MK-WL route. I did that route 3 times last weekend.

There is NO WL-TTC route. There have been NO internal postings about a route change to WL. There have been internal postings about subtile changes to POR and SSR routes but they are not park related.

I'm a DVC member who read the Vacation Magic and was pretty upset by the (supposed) change. The direct bus is great, saves a lot of time over the boat. I HOPE the direct bus stays and the newsletter was incorrect!!! Thanks for everyone who posted, especially cranbiz.
