No bounce back for November - normal?

So, I was at WDW last week and wanted to book a bounce back for my November (10th-14th) trip, but when I called, they said that there was no bounce back for all of November. This will be my first trip in November - is that normal? I know you have Jersey week and Thanksgiving, but I guess I was a bit surprised by the lack of a bounce back. And, the availability online seems to be very sparse, as well. Just curious if this is the norm (since I have ZERO experience with November!).

Thanks!

With very little availability in November, you can see why there is no need to offer a bounceback rate right now. Part of this has to do with rooms being taken out of service for renovations (or in the case of CSR, just plain demolished to make way for new construction). Part of this is because of demand (MNSSHP and F&W, the Wine & Dine Marathons, Jersey Week, MVMCP, Thanksgiving) and cooler temperatures with no threat of hurricanes.

November is a great time to visit Disney. But a lot of people have learned that.

Looking forward to experiencing November for the first time! I'm booked at POP, but kind of hoping to move to PoFQ (Stayed POP one night our last trip - and the renovated rooms are nice, but I think that I just really like PoFQ a bit more). I'll keep watching to see if anything opens up, otherwise I'll be at POP (and, that's better than being at home, any day! lol).

The BB is usually for trips the following calendar year.
For example I got a FD BB for December 2018 during my trip in August/September 2017.

Oh, there was availability for this year (just as there was the other two times I was at WDW this year), just not for November., unfortunately And no bounce back was out for next year, yet (at least not on the information that was in my room at PoFQ or that I noticed, though - I was mostly looking for the dates for this year, anyway as I've already rented points for my trip in January).

Oh, and in March, I booked our June trip via a bounce back - that was a nice surprise, to be able to do that!!

Moving this to the Discount Codes & Rates board. :)
I've seen that you move many threads to the "Discount codes and rate board". I just have a question... Where is this board located because I can't seem to find it on the main page of the Dis Forums?

The discounts board is a sub forum from the resorts board. It is right at the top of the page when you open the resorts board.

Not always. During the free dining period, Disney has been offering a free dining bounceback for the following year. Sometime in October, they switch it to a room discount offer for the following year. That offer has stayed in effect until the next August, when it was changed to free dining again. So if you go January to August, the offer is a room discount for dates in the same year.

However, October & November have been excluded from the bounceback offers for the last several years. That time of year has gotten very popular. There is just no need to discount rooms that are booking up at full rack rate.
