No BOG reservations 7/1 and beyond

So

I have an onsite reservation in late July for 14 days. I’ve been trying to book a BOG dinner reservation for several days without luck. Only lunch and breakfast is available.

I just now hung up with dining reservations as i felt I’ve couldn’t have been last in line for that many days and something must have been going on. Dining reservations told me that starting the other day they blocked for any additional dinner reservations for BOG from 7/1 and beyond. Those that already got a reservation can keep it.

The cast member didn’t know why, his guess was that some change was coming maybe dinner was becoming quick service as well.

If this is true im wonder how this will impact dinner availability as the it has already been very limited after the 180 days mark. I assume as a QS option the turn around time for a table is faster compared to a TS.

I was wondering what was going on. Last Saturday was my 180 days for ADRs. I booked CRT and ‘Ohana first. Then at 6:20 am, I couldn’t get a BoG dinner. I figured it was because people overbook or it’s just that popular. We booked a lunch at BoG that we didn’t really want just to experience the restaurant.

Yeah I also booked a lunch reservation but I’d really want a dinner and I even tried at 6.00am.
