No big surprise...need help understanding fp+ & child swap

okay, please excuse my ignorance in this matter...headed to wdw in october 2015 for first family trip. will be myself, DH, DS (9), DD (14 months), and my mom. someone had mentioned to me before that an example of using this system would be: DH and DS get fp+ for space mountain; then later myself, grandma, and DS could ride again with swap. (DS rides twice) Myself and grandma get fp+ for thunder mtn; then later DH, DS, and myself ride with swap. (DS rides once) My confusion lies with the latter fp+...obviously by showing DD we could get swap for thunder, but DS meets the height limit...so how do we convince CM to give us a swap? I apologize for seeming stupid in this matter...just trying to make the most/best out of fp+, especially considering we will need child swap on a lot of other rides. thanks for helping!

You only have to show the baby for the swap ticket. Any 3 people can ride on the swap.

The key is to continually use the baby to receive the Rider Swap ticket. She'll never know.
