No Balloons @ Epcot

Always wondered why they're not sold there-does anyone have the definitive answer?

They sell them in HS also. I dont think I have ever seen them at AK for obvious reasons though.

Totally off the wall... maybe they are concerned about them popping and getting hung up on Spaceship Earth? probably a highly unlikely reason though.

I never noticed that. I obviously knew about AK but never even thought about Epcot, but now that you mention it....

The Spaceship Earth ball got too jealous of people admiring all the other round objects, so they had to ban the sale of balloons around the ball.

I'm sure there must be a reason for it. Any opportunity to make money Disney jumps directly on, unless they have a pretty compelling reason not to.

Close. Because of the design of Spaceship Earth, and the length of strings on the balloons, it's very likely accidentally released balloons will catch on the structure, and then you'd have a perpetual clean-up issue.
