No bag check

Noticed last week that there was no longer a bag search. It seemed to speed things up a lot. There was one for the water taxi though!?!?!?!

Busch Gardens did have a bag search and I think Disney did as well. I didn't have a bag there, so I am not really sure.

They are doing the bag check at the moving walkways right after the parking garage in the area next to the escalators for valet parking. So you get the baggage check from the parking lot, valet parking, and guest drop off before you get into Citywalk. The boat checks are for the baggage check for the hotel guests. There are also bag checks for those who walk from the hotel right before you get to the parks. I like it better than at the gate as it is faster. At the gate, it seemed to block the entrance when you are trying to get in.

It helps when you are park hopping too as you used to have to queue for bag check every time you entered a park.

The other thing that I saw that I liked was the bike transport guy who will take you to RPR in the little cart behind his bike. We didn't do it but it did look fun!

This is good. Anything that helps smooth out this stuff is an improvement. I'm really curious how much contraband has been found at any of these security stations at Universal or Disney. If I had to guess, I would say nothing has ever been found.

We did see a security guy a few times on the path from RPH but never saw him checking bags. I wonder if he just checked big bags? It never even crossed my mind that he might be the new bag check guy.

Actually when I was going into MGM a few weeks ago, the group in front of us had to throw out a couple bottles of beer that they were trying to carry in their backpacks.
