No ADR? Walk Up?

I just went on line this morning to get reservations for a last minute trip in a few weeks. I look at 9/21/10 for 6:30 and was offered 48 TS choices.

I would not do walk ups but you can still get some very good choices last minute.

I thought this was interesting to pass along. I had a long conversation this morning with Disney Dining Reservationist. As he was looking for my reservation he said "man I have been looking for a Chef Mickeys all morning". He then went on to tell me he had been looking online (just like us) for a CM opening for himself and there were none available. As he was doing a broad search for MY reservations in his system, he found numerous openings for CM. I asked him if it was better to call or go online and he said 'definitely calling'. He also said to ask to do a broad search for the entire stay rather than give them a specific day and time. It will show every opening for a particular restaurant for the entire length of your stay.

We have never done a walk up but have called Disney Dining from inside the parks and have been given a reservation. In July, we called and got a reservation for Jiko that night.

If it's just you and DW, I would say try and walk up. We had GREAT luck this past week with just me and DH. I think there is a lot of room for 2 people at the restaurants because most people have larger parties so seating 2 people is quicker. I would definitely give it a try. We always got in way early or were able to walk up.

Agreed. we were able to get a walk in with no wait time at Yak & Yeti.
