Day 3 - Nov 4 - "SIR PLEASE GO ALL THE WAY DOWN FOR THE NEXT AVAILABLE SEAT!

Although we didn't party at PI last night, our day still begins late. We just decide we're 10
days, why not take our time. It's our vacation. We arrive at the MK at 11:00AM. I expect the worst lines here but things really weren't that bad. We still did not have to use Fastpass.

Our first attraction of the day is Alien Encounter. We have a 20 minute wait. Not bad for Disney. I know a lot of you dislike this attraction. I still find it to be one of my favorites. To hear people who have never been on it, is the best. Hearing their laughter and screams is hysterical to me.

We move on to Space Mountain. Standby times are listed at 20 minutes. We ride within 10 minutes.

Small World and Haunted Mansion have about 20 minutes standbys as well.

(Don't get me wrong, I still enjoy Small World when we ride, but is it just me or could it use some updating. How about throw in a little hip hop or a dance remix? Don't stone me, I'm just kidding! (but not really!)

Since we haven't eaten anything yet, we opt for an ice cream break before tackling the other Mountains. Splash Mountain is just calling my name. My wife is not so enthused. Getting wet was not on the itinerary for this vacation. I beg her to go with me. So, she drags out her poncho to cover up.

We've now come to Thunder Mountain. This was probably the only truly negative experience for the whole 10 day trip for 2 reasons:

1. The Standby line was actually true (25 minutes).
2. The CM yelled at me over the loudspeaker.

I'll explain number 2 as clearly as I can. It has come to be our turn to board the train. The CM is busy jabbering with her friend instead of doing her job. I just pick a gate since we had no instruction from her as to where to go. As I'm speaking to my wife, over the loudspeaker, we hear "SIR, PLEASE GO ALL THE WAY DOWN TO THE END FOR THE NEXT AVAILABLE SEAT!" Needless to say, I was not going to let her get away with public humiliation of me for her error. I point out to her that I would've done that if she had been directing the flow of people before we reached the train. I somehow think that she is the reason for the 25 minute wait.
She gave me the dirtiest look. However, at the end of our ride, she was directing people where to go. Okay, I know it was Un-Disney of me but I didn't get angry or disrespectful. That sour note was over in 1 minute.

As we are riding the 2 rides mentioned, the Parade is well under way so we get to see the tail end of it. The ice cream did not curb our hunger for long. We decide to eat after riding POC, since the line was less than 10 minutes. We eat at the Mexican restaurant across from POC. We ordered 2 taco dinners. After we are waiting and paid for our food, the girl behind the counter offers us a free taco salad. I graciously accept it (LONG LIVE THE MAGIC), BUT I knew deep down that we would not be able to finish all this food. It wasn't particulary tasty anyway.

We now have to get ready for our cruise - The Jungle Cruise. There is a wait again of 20 min. No big deal. It is our turn to board but the boat with passengers has not left the dock yet. The CM's are stalling telling us jokes and making conversation. A boat had lost engine power somewhere near the beginning of the ride. Well, we won't be able to ride.:( I must say the CMs were great at keeping us entertained while waiting. They made it one of the best waits I have ever had without getting to ride the attraction.

To make up for the mishap, we ride Space Mountain once more before exiting the park.

We get back to the Dolphin to freshen up a bit before Dinner and more shopping. We go the Premier Outlet Mall and look around to see what they have. My wife becomes fascinated with Coach store. She gets that gleam in her eye. She is going to purchase something not on our list. She does not get the purse today, because she wants to ask her sister if she'd like one as well. I don't mind her getting it. She's worth every penny. Oh did I also fail to mention it's our 7 year anniversary. She decides to come back later in the week to make her purchase.

We eat at the Cattleman Ranch on International Dr. I ordered the Prime Rib and she gets the salad bar. It's about 9:30 now and we aren't really tired yet so you guess it: We go to Pleasure Island. We tell ourselves that we won't stay too late because we want to go IOA tomorrow. We are just fooling ourselves. We dance til 1AM. It was kind of nice having rental car the whole time. After leaving PI, we were back at the Dolphin within 5 minutes.

Day 4 installment "Did you set the alarm correctly?"

I had little wait times last week - love it. Didn't make it to the outlet this trip - but did have 2 trips to Downtown Disney to make up for it. Thanks for posting!

I loved the short waits I encountered while I was there a week or so ago.

Thanks for telling us about your day. Sounds like you had a great time, even if you did get yelled at by a CM :)
