We have a 10 night trip coming up at the end of June and we are thinking of eating at 9 dragons in past trips we have avoided this because of some bad reviews. Recently it seems that the reviews are better has anyone eaten there recently and if so tell me what you thought.....Thanks

We eat at Nine Dragons each Disney trip, last trip being in December. We've never had a bad meal there. Can't say the same for the Yak and Yeti. Blech! Anyway, we always order the Pot Stickers and my son orders the Honey Chicken. I have tried various dishes, and they've all been very tasty. The service is wonderful, too. Have a great time!!

Nine Dragons but then they changed the menu and it isn't near as good. The fried rice was a fantastic dish then they changed the way it was prepared reducing the shrimp count, chopping the chicken and pork into miniscule bits that were hard to find and reducing the portion size.

The service is good but the last two times we felt like they were rushing us a bit. We like to relax and savor our food.

Just our two cents!

Honey sesame chicken = :thumbsup2:thumbsup2 (two thumbs up!)

(Got it in Sept 2009 & Feb 2010... great both times - fresher and 100x yummier than any local chinese take-out!)

Well my review is not good...we had dinner there in June 09 (pics and full review in my thread) and the food was gawsh awful! The smell hit us before the food was even at the table and Dh was sick all night long and he barely ate it! The server noticed that we were not eating and took care of the bill.

I should have known there was a reason this place is always open for walk ins and last minute ressies ;)

Nicki, I remember your review terrified me to the core! That was the ONE place DBF wanted to go to during our Aug 09 trip (he loves Chinese) and I remember how awful of an experience you guys had!
We actually liked it a lot-- had the pepper beef. Found it a bit salty, but there was a huge portion of beef (very small side of white rice-- usually it's the opposite.) I say, go for it!

Drat !

Nicki, all your photo's from your June '09 trip have been 'moved by photobucket'....

:guilty:

I fixed it, the missing photos were just menu pics

I am glad you had a better experience than we did ;)

We liked Nine Dragons, I wasnt looking fwd to this ADR but my DS loves any kind of oriental food. I got the General Tso chicken and it was a HUGE portion and honestly the best General Tso Ive had. Around here it is served most sweet, there it was spicy with a hint of sweet which I loved, my only complaint was the tiny bowl of rice that came with it, Id like a little more of a side dish. There was so much chicken I shared with everyone tho. DS had steak and shrimp and loved it. DH and DD got fried rice which I found bland and I didnt like texture. We have an ADR for Sept and Dh and I are both getting General Tso..

My one place that I REALLY disliked that everyone seems to like is Crystal Palace. Food was cold and bland. Pooh and the gang were fun got great pics otherwise it would have been a waste of a TS credit..

We ate there 12/29/09 with CP package and enjoyed it. We had not eaten there before. We had great server who explained the menu. Only thing that DH wasn't thrilled about was the dessert ginger cake I think. I had steak and shrimp(very good) and DH had sweet/sour pork(I think) he liked it but thought it was typical chinese food. Appetizers were pot stickers and spring rolls both very tasty and fresh. I would return again.
