Nightlife on the Wish?

When you saw the size of the venues and how tightly packed they were I think you would understand how easily Covid could be spread. The other ships have much better designs so that people are not on top of each other. Seeing that Covid is not going away anytime soon and people are catching it on ships, this should be taken into consideration when designing a new ship. Why go with something smaller for a ship that holds more people? Poor design which makes no sense.
You simply cannot make a design choice based on a virus.

True. But you can make a design choice based on common sense. Bigger ship holding more people = bigger lounges, not smaller. Not sure if you have been on the Wish to pass judgement yet, but I do think a Cruise Line has to take accountability in keeping their passengers safe. Even if covid did not exist, I would not want to be packed in and on top of other people to play Trivial Pursuit or watch Match you Mate.

Beyond keeping passengers safe, the venues are MUCH smaller than the four other Disney ships and poorly designed. So much so that people could not get into whatever activities were going on there at times due to the massive crowds.

Have not physically been on the Wish; however, many have indicated that they have been heavy adult sailings and that the perception may indeed be that they are smaller but under normal sailing adult vs. children it won't be that different. I think the fact that they have been disproportionately adult based sailings is causing this perception. In addition, I don't believe there is a vast difference in actual passenger capacity. I've heard numbers of 4k to 4200 for the Wish where the Dream/Fantasy are at 4k but have percentages of children vs. adult to be normal at this time compared to the Wish sailings.

I think this is a BIG factor right now. The innaugural sailing they had like less than 200 kids on board or some crazy small number? The reports were "Quiet cove is packed. The pools are people soup" Meanwhile, you saw photos of the regular pools and they looked pretty empty. Which was certainly true for that sailing.

I think even the first 3-months of sailings are likely to be more adult heavy than typical as the media influencers, and gold/platinum cruisers get the new ship out of their system...give it 3 months of twice-a-week 3/4 night sailings and we'll be back to the normal ratio of adults-vs-kids.

In fact, the number of staterooms on the Wish is almost equal to the number of staterooms on the Dream-class ships. The Wish has 1,254 staterooms while the Dream-class ships have 1,250. I don't expect that <20 people will make much of a difference.

Nope, it's all related to the percentage of adults/children on the Wish currently compared to the Dream/Fantasy causing the biggest issue.
