Night of Joy...Who's going?

We're also just going for a long weekend, 9/9 - 9/12 (my birthday is 9/11, so with that and NOJ, it was a good excuse!).

We've been to Creation a few times - now that's a lot of people! I haven't been since before my kids were born, I think 99 was the last time I went. I prefer NOJ where I can go back to a clean, quiet hotel room.

we were at creation in 2003 and it was held at hershey due to flooding. that is a lot of people!!! its an awesome experience though!!! all of those people worshipping together!!!

i agree about the clean hotel room , with flushing toilets, hot showers and a pool to boot!!!

Is it true that you can get into the park early that day? I don't know if I care about riding rides, but if they hand out the schedule early, I want to plan my listening strategy .

I may be dating myself, but I can't wait to see Stryper, too (hehehe).

Its going to be hard to plan a strategy!!! thursday and friday will be the toughest for my DH and I !!! michael w smith and steven curtis chapman are 2 of my favorites!!!! are the newsboys going to be here????

I wouldn't worry about seeing MWS and SCC both. They're playing on seperate nights (Smitty on Thursday; SCC on Friday). And another thing. From my experiance, MWS usually preforms near the end of the event at the castle. My guess is that the same will be true for SCC on Friday since he is so big. As for the Newsboys, they're gonna be at Rock the Universe, which is the USO knockoff of NoJ. But don't worry there are PLENTY of awesome bands to see. Thursday and Friday are the best nights to go mostly because a lot of youth groups won't want kids to miss school. I for one am a senior so I can miss all the school I want. (Just kidding. My parents would kill me!)

That's what I'm hoping, although it seems like there's lots of us "old folks" going!

They have a special park map that lists each performance and shows the location of the stages as well as listing which attractions and food locations are open.

Me & my hubby met 15 years ago at a Stryper concert, (In God We Trust Tour).
We were in line since 9am to be right in front, and it was a match made in Heaven! TYJ!
We've actually been married 12 years,
but I like to celebrate the day we met because I met my Prince that day!

Last year the event was sold out. So if you can imagine how many people it would take to sell out the Magic Kingdom, that's how many people will probably be there. I took my mom last year and she almost started going crazy because of the crowds (and Smitty was delayed because of rain) I for one don't mind them, and neither does my aunt, so thats why shes taking me and the girls. Just thought I should warn you first timers.

My DH and i went to a Petra concert 11 years ago for our 1st date!!! newsboys opened for them!!!

Just bumping up since we're probably gonna get a hurricane the week before. (As a side-note, please pray for me bacause I'm freaking out!!!!!!! This hurricane is headed toward my area! My school is closed for a half day tomarrow and closed completly Friday. I know this is not exactly the thread to say this, but please pray for anyone in the path of this storm!!!!!!!!!!!)

I just bought my plane tickets for my DD 14 and me (mom 44). I'm so excited - I've always wanted to go to NOJ, but never thought it would be possible because I was a teacher and couldn't miss school in September. Well, this year I'm homeschooling my DD and we're taking a field trip! YAY!

I'm going all 3 nights...staying at AKL! (great rate)

I go to UCF, but its so much cooler using Disney transportation and planing the whole weekend at Disney than driving back and forth all weekend....that's a lotta gas! But I am so excited cuz I LOVE SCC......and I am way excited to see everybody else too.....Joy Williams, Kirk, Avalon, Jump 5, Third Day, Jars, Michael, and like everybody! I just wish ZoeGirl was gonna be there, but they have been showing a pattern of flip-flopping between RtU and NoJ for a while, so hopefully they'll be back next year! YAY! I'm glad we have the hurricane this weekend! (even though it cancelled my meeting of my future husband at Epcot-Michael Phelps...grrrr)

Oh, I can't even tell you how envious I am of you all going for this event! DH and I would so dearly love to do it; but I'm on midnights and won't be able to get off. Maybe next year; we could go down and use our passes again....

You dont think the hurricane(s) will have an impact on NOJ do you? all of the performers will get there, right? they wont cancel it will they??? we would have heard by now, right??? please, reassure me????
