Anyone stay here before? Is it worth the $$? Thoughts, experiences, comments greatly appreciated.

We stayed there this past Thursday for just one night. We paid $79, plus resort fee and taxes. For that price, it's a great place to stay for a night or two, especially if you have younger kids. In the past, people have paid upwards of $300 per night, which is a complete ripoff IMO.

We were there on Thursday too! Keep in mind that they charge a $25 resort fee in addition to whatever price you find. We got a great military rate right from the nick website. I think Orbitz is the one that consistently has a good deal. I really liked the shows and the younger kids really liked the water slides The older kids didn't think they were as fun as they looked in the picture, but still complained when we had to leave. There are more shows on the weekends, but also more people. I like having more that one room at a hotel and the bunk beds are a fun touch. It's fun, I wouldn't stay there if you weren't planning to hang at the hotel and enjoy the nick stuff, especially because of the resort fee. I like the nice, fluffy towels they have at the pool to check out. Also, the rooms are very dark if you like it dark when you sleep. We watched a lot of nick cartoons. Go figure. :rotfl:

We are headed back there this week. We stayed in March and loved it. It is a great Destination hotel if you've "done" Disney. It's 99 a night Florida Resident Rate and we want to do the Halloween stuff around the hotel. Thus said, it would not be worth it if it were full price at $200 plus. Also, if you are doing Disney, there wouldn't be enough time to enjoy this hotel fully. There are 4D movies, Nick shows, Character breakfasts not to mention the pool and 4pm Mass Slime. I highly recommend it.

We stayed there for 1 night 2 years ago with our 3 kids (ages 10, 8, and 4 at the time) and they loved it! Didn't want to leave. We did the character breakfast which was really fun. Only problem was I paid an arm and a leg!

This year we are staying for 2 nights since I got a MUCH cheaper rate (about 1/4 of what I paid 2 years ago!:headache:). The kids are excited to go back.

We have stayed at the Nick Hotel numerous times, and have come to realize its just gotten too busy! It was fun the first 2 years with lower crowds, but now it seems packed to capacity nearly all the time. The kids loved it, but we had so many problems last year in October, that I wrote them a letter to complain. I did end up with a nice kids gift basket in the mail, but I don't think we'll be going back anytime soon. Just way too crowded for the price, and the rooms are quite small for my 3 boys (one of whom has been in a crib the last 2 years we've stayed there).

Yes, it was crowded. The kids didn't like having to wait in line for the slides. The shows were always full, so make sure to reserve yourself a spot.

Just got back today. It was great crowd wise from Monday thru Friday morning. Check in is around 4pm but I noticed around Friday noon alot of families began showing up and oh my. Once Friday night hit I knew I had made a mistake staying for the weekend. Not only was it more a night but the crowds. Luckily, my DS had had enough of the pool area by then and we did DTD stuff. I would still say the hotel was only a little less than half full even on the weekends. This is a great kid hotel in the off season, weekdays, great discount. But I wouldn't do it any other way.
