I hope this is posted in the right place. Does anyone know if there are discounts for this hotel? We are thinking of staying on one night either before or after our Disney trip. We won't be doing US/IOA this trip, or we'd be staying at RPR!!!! ;) Just thought DS would enjoy it. Also, if anyone has stayed recently, how was it??

Thanks so much!!

You aren't exactly in the right place, as this board is for the onsite Universal hotels. Many people make that mistake, but Nick hotel is not affiliated with Universal at all. Anyway, I'd be happy to answer your question as best I can. There don't seem to be much in the way of discounts for this hotel. There is an Advance purchase rate, but you must pay for your stay IN FULL when you book, with no refund for cancellation. Personally I would never go that route. If you have AAA, that rate seems to be about the same as the advance purchase, without the stipulations. Lastly, there is a Mousesavers rate which will take a few $ off the rack rate.
We stayed there in Sept., for 2 nights. It was a blast. The kids really loved it, and I must say my husband and I had fun in the waterpark, too! Some advice: Book the nightime show as soon as you arrive if you are interested in seeing it (there are actually 2 different shows, Slime Time and Who Knows Best, make sure you book the one you want). Don't plan anything away from the hotel, the kids won't want to leave. That is, except for dinner. I would steer clear of the food. Have a great trip!

The Nick Hotel does offer some discount rates during the week,You should checkout their website We stayed there for 7 days 11/7-11/14 and I have to say we were somewhat dissapointed.Don't get me wrong the pools are awesome and a ton of fun  for the kids and the kid in all of us.But the staff could stand to be a little more friendly. The overall appearance and decor is very nice,But the overall cleanliness of our room was a little less to be desired that just may have been our misfortune who knows.I will tell you this for sure the breakfast buffet where kids eat for free was horrible,I mean I can basically eat anything and am very easy to please when it comes to food ,But this slop was barely edible.I could go on and on in detail but I would need a lot of writing space.Make the best out of it and have a blast for one day you can't go wrong even for two or three any more than that and you have a problem. The children are guaranteed to have the time of there life!
Enjoy,Richie V.

I was there in August after a stay at PBH and I thought it was great for what we were expecting. We had a 2 bedroom suite, the bathrooms are a little small but we adjusted. After all the fancy food we were glad to have a fridge and micro in the room for some normal food and snacks.

As a comparison we went to Chef Mickeys(breakfast) on Tues. and the Sponge Bob breakfast on Weds. I asked my 19yo & 16yo which one they liked better and they said Sponge Bob had the better food hands down.

Pools can't be beat and we had no problems with the CM's.

Right now they are offering a 2 bedroom on their website for $125 for stays Mon. thru Thurs. We used AAA and our rate was $230.

Try the Dreams Unilimited website. Or go under orlando area hotels. I posted this same question and webmaster bob gave me a link to Dreams Unlimited and I got a really good rate...without that no cancellation clause.
