nick hotel

hiya
we are going to disney and will be arriving a day before our reservations at the poly. we need to find a hotel in orlando for one night.
we are lookin at the nick hotel.
i wanted to know if they operate similar to the great wolf lodge. u get use of the waterpark the day of check in and the entire day of check out..

so.... if we arrive at hotel at 9 am. can the kids swim.. then if we check out at 11 am .. can we stay and swim?

We did this last summer. We checked in around noon and were given our wrist bands to use the waterpark. Our room was ready but they told us if it wasn't we could have still swam. We also were able to use it on check out day. We stayed there till mid afternoon before going over to Disney.

Make sure you check travelzoo, expedia, etc for deals. I was able to get Nick Hotel for $89 a night during April vacation. PS, there is a $28 a day resort fee added to all reservations.

at the website the room was 306.. but on orbitz.. 216. crazy huh??

do they have a shower area by the pool?

We just stayed there in June - Yes you can check-in early to swim and stay late - I think they said noon - but no one was checking. We were also able to keep our room until noon for free - just ask at the front desk.

As far as I know - there are not showers by the pool. We didn't find any changing rooms except 1 by the front desk...

FWIW - the show's are all free there. You can get reservations at Guest Services. The Sponge Bob show was pretty lame, but the slime competition show (can't remember the name) was fun.

The nic hotel does look like a lot of fun. I guess I've been spoiled by the magical express, but what is the most economicall way to get to nic? Have you rented a car or used the Mears shuttle ?
